After watching ep 2 again and then watching ep4 I have to point out that Anakin and Owen shared all of like 2 lines in ep 2. None of which involved Anakin's ideals, Owens desire for Anakin to stay on Tatooine, or Anakin needing to follow Obi Wan on some damn fool idealistic crucade. If the prequels are to be believed this is how Obi Wan's dialogue would have gone in ep four:
Your uncle met your father once, then your dad killed some sand people and had a temper tantrum in your uncle's garage. Then he ran off to rescue me. Your uncle was probably pretty glad the little brat left, to be perfectly honest. Fewer dents in the walls and no one bringing back corpses at all hours of the night.

Even more to the point, how the hell did Obi-Wan know what Owen said in the first place? He wasn't there! As I pointed out at Sagacity's place, for the PT to connect the OT we'd have to believe that they had off-screen conversations along these lines:
QUOTE
OWEN: Hey there Anakin. Sorry about your Mom and all. Uh, by the way, did I ever tell you that I don’t hold with your ideals?
ANAKIN: Huh? What ‘ideals’?
OWEN: Just… whatever your ideals are. Oh, and I think you should stay here and not get involved.
ANAKIN: Wait a minute… involved with what? I’m not ‘involved’ with anything, I’m just doing my job. And why the heck would I want to stay on Tatooine when I only came here to find my mother?
OWEN: I just don’t want you following that guy you work for…
ANAKIN: Obi-Wan?
OWEN: Yeah, him - I just don’t want you following him on any idealistic crusades or anything.
ANAKIN: WHAT THE - look, you moron, he’s investigating the attempted murder of a Senator and I’m acting as her bodyguard. What has that got to do with ‘idealistic crusades’? And who the hell are you to be telling me what I should do? We barely know each other!
OWEN: Hey, have it your way. I was just trying to help.
(Much later, after the events on Geonosis…)
ANAKIN: Oh, Master? Did I tell you I met my stepbrother Owen on Tatooine?
OBI-WAN: You did?
ANAKIN: Yeah. Apparently he doesn’t hold with my ideals.
OBI-WAN: What ideals?
ANAKIN: I’m not entirely sure. Oh, and he also said that I should stay on Tatooine and not get involved.
OBI-WAN: Really? Wow. Well, I’ll be sure to remember that so that I can tell your son about it in 20 years.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

I should really just start randomly approaching people:
"Hello. I don't hold with your ideals, and you should stay here"
"Hello. I don't hold with your ideals, and you should stay here"

Haha Helena your gonna love this....
Maybe while Anakin was
galavanting all over Tatooine
Perhaps Padme and Owen
got into a political type discussion.
The droids were present
and C3PO filled Obi-Wan in later.

Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

You're right, that is a potentially sinister statement. It would have rocked if they had worked that into the PT somehow.
