Ooh, World of Warcraft. You know, I had a friend a while back whom I used to hang out with all the time. Then he got World of Warcraft. I had 56k, so I couldn't play it, even if I had wanted to. After he got WoW, he didn't want to hang out with me at all anymore. It was just him and WoW. I didn't see him for months.

God damn you, Blizzard. God damn you for turning people into anti-social fucktards.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go play Diablo 2.

I once heard something on the news that blew my mind, that some smacktards actually died because of this game. For example, some Korean arsehole died from dehydration (or how the hell you spell that), because he didn't stop playing long enough to waltz out to the tap and drain it. Some other dumbass smacktard killed his friend because he sold a weapon in the game that had been lent to him. Here in Hungary, some guy forgot to feed their baby boy so he died coz daddy couldn't be arsed to stop playing.
Fuckin' amazing. But I don't think that this is Blizzard's fault, this is the fault of these stupid computer addicts, case fucking closed. It's just like those fast food lawsuits in America that used to go on before this type of lawsuit got banned (thank god). Some fat guys were suing the fast food conglomerates because they made them fat. I think the same "blame-everyone-but-ourselves" philosophy applies here, as well.

Well, I wasn't really placing the blame on Blizzard, I was only being melodramatic. But good point.

I know you were being sarcastic, it's just that you raised an interesting issue, namely the addictiveness of these games, which I wished to comment upon.

Sorry about reviving this ancient thread, but I've finally given up on this fucking game myself, and I absolutely had to share it with you. Hip-hip hooray for having a life.

Nah, just a recognition of some sort hit me. All the people around were just felicitous about this BC patch, that they can shell out around $50 for it and start farming XP for another 10 levels, and I didn't feel the slightest enthusiasm for that. I just said "Fuck it all" then deleted the goddamn thing.

Now I can get back to drawing and photoshopping in peace (till 6DAS comes out, at least).

I've never played it, and I do not dare, either. I used to play a lot of Neverwinter Nights and DMed on a server, but quit playing it online after I encountered a paladin doing a drow wizard up the ass behind a fence (I sent an overpowered feral badger at them).

The only really dedicated WoW-player I know is a guy whose face turns red and covered in veins and spit from his drooling mouth whenever he mentions a "catgirl."

It's definitely an addictive drug, and I don't even know what is so addictive about it. I mean, 90% of the game is spent on farming monsters for money and experience, which is about as fun as watching wet paint dry and eventually fall off the wall. PvP can be fun for a while, especially when you join a good team, but it gets really samey after the 10000000000th battle.

That is definitely the most hilarious petition to a game master I've ever seen, good work! biggrin.gif

(Then again, I've only seen that of my own till now, and I was always sooo polite.)
