The same way I have the right to post my "drawings" here. I didn't say that because he criticised my work, I said that because he asked me to "stop posting these until blah blah blah".
I'll post my work here whenever I think they need a second (or third) opinion.

Whatever. It still looks like a scary Data. But you can tell who it's meant to look like, so well done for an admirable first attempt at him.

Here is my stylized hand drawn picture of Tall Man. Things I would want to improve in the future would be making the arms thinner, making the head rounder and making the collar more jagged, and actually wrap around behind the guys head. Also, his right hand only shows three fingers because I was trying to imply you were looking at the hand from the side. It didn't end up looking like that so I must bash my own work on that point. Okay, critique away you guys!

Well, he looks like a space version of Spiderman, and he doesn't use an axe to slice his victims.

... hmm... you know, if I were a psychotic über-killer, I'd probably wouldn't mind it that much. If it were sharp, then the fun would be over too soon. Digging through a man's chest with a blunt spoon instead of sharp sword makes it much more interesting and also offers a good opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the killer in question.

So, this umberalla-like weapon fits pretty well here =)

I still don't know what the fuck that weapon is. I'm sure I saw some of the evil English redcoats holding it in the opening scenes of Pirates of the Caradeppian II. Yahtzee, come and enlighten us please!

It doesn't really have a name. I just thought of it as the tall man's staff.

It looks like the Tall Man in the 70s, going home after a night in the disco.

Hey, what are we here for? Let's give it a name!

-If it's a mix of an axe and a lance, it's a laxen;
-But, if it's the son of a axe and a staff, it's a staxe;
-No... it's the cross-product of a lance and a staff, so it's a stalanceff;
-Or it's all the three together: a laxenataff;
-None of the others. It's an axe plus an staff plus a lance plus an umbrella. A stabrellanceff!

Neat! I drew a 70's Spiderman!

Now, looking at my drawing again I realize that it sucks all mighty ass. However, I've been very inspired by Trilby and his fellow cast members to continue trying. Hopefully by tommarrow, you will have yet another attempt at Tall Man by yours truly. By the way, I've gone in a completely different direction this time: I'm actually trying to make it good! I'm halfway done already and I'm very pleased with the results so far. It looks like a cross between Jack from A Nightmare Before Christmas and The Scarecrow from the Batman cartoon series.

How about not mixing existing figures but coming up with your own interpretations? I always find that more fun.

How did yahtz come up with a weapon like that in the first place?
well, the active part is definitly the other end of that weapon while the umberlla-like end is just for slicing the victim's guts and making a complete mess after killing them.

I'd think that watching horror flicks like the Elm Street and Friday 13th series gives you a few ideas.

Here it is!!!!!

I've finally finished my "good" version of Tall Man. Hopefully you will agree that this is a marked improvement over my last hippy design. I worked for over two hours on this baby, so I hope you will be kind when reviewing it. I worked hard to get the proportions more accurate to what I thought they should be, and I completely redid the colour scheme. No longer is there an axe in his hand. He is now holding his so called "sceptre" in all its bloody glory. Things to note: I started drawing the character without checking the ending picture in the game, so a few things are different. He has no shoulder straps, he is not wearing a foot-length trenchcoat with buttons on the left side, and there are no blood smears on Tally at all. However, I wanted this drawing to look creepy and not creepy in that it looks pathetic or bad for a twenty year old. I've been very inspired by this board and the characters in the trilogy so far, and this will unfortunately be my last drawing for awhile. I'm now getting into Maya and actual work in my Game Design courses so I'll be a lot busier. I know this drawing isn't perfect, but its a start. Enjoy!

Note: The resolution at default makes the outlines look gross, simply zoom in if you want to see how it "really" looks. Also, Friday the 13th is completely copied, no question about it at all. I almost miss that pissed off goalie... GIVE ME A FREAKIN HOCKEY MASK!!! Oh wait, hockey starts tommarrow... nevermind!
