Thanks for not quoting me, njamilla. It is good to know that my opinion means little, if anything, to you.

sad.gif Hope I didn't offend by the omission. Cf. below.

Sidius took down Kit Fisto and two other Jedi in a matter of seconds. Was he that good at lightsaber fighting? No one is. That was terrible coreographing and writing. Terrible.

I think the whole scene was a forced mess. I believe the SW.com site did do a post on the difficulty with the continuity for the fall of Mace. I'd have to dig through my pdf files. Still, regardless of what anyone thinks of Kit Fisto and the rest of the posse, they were not the walrusman in the Cantina. I have no problem with that scene in which Kenobi's skills were implied by the visual impact of a bloody arm on the ground, but the posse execution was rather anticlimactic (and boring). Especially with Gillard's intention to make the Jedi all-skilled, the scene was lame. And shitty Jedi lightsaber fighters don't make Darth Sidious seem particularly skilled with his weapon.

I agree; it makes the Jedi look weak. Making the Jedi look weak doesn't make Sidious look strong. That works in some movies, but they just couldn't pull it off in ROTS.

Let us know when you get the Starwars.com explanation. smile.gif

Thank you.

2. Choosing a lame, woosy actor to portray Anakin Skywalker

i'd like to alter this to:

2. ruining career of young new actor through poor direction.

(i feel sorry for HC, i think he's suffered enough blame for someone elses lack of professionality)

I WOULD feel sorry for HC, but the fact that he gushed all over GL when he won the "Best Villian Award" (IIRC MTV) makes me feel disgusted yell.gif

I have NO pity for him rolleyes.gif

Ditto...Plenty of actors come out and say, "Yea that movie really sucked!" Just look at my favorite guy K. Smith or Cuba Gooding Jr.'s comments on that gay cruise movie. But the fact that HC slobbered all over GL's flesh-toned lightsaber makes me sick...

It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

For the scripts I wrote, a few months back I decided just how good Jude Law would have been in the role. No, I'm not a homosexual fanboy who has a crush on him. NOR am I a huge fan. But looking back at his style, I've come to realize he would have made a great Anakin Skywalker.

As far as Padme goes... I really hate that name. Padme.

That is why in my version of the story, I changed it to 'Nera' pronounced 'Neera' and my favorite female for the role would have been Margo Harshman. No, I didn't like 'Even Stevens' all that much, but I did like it when she came on screen.

With Jude Law's dry sense of wit, he actaully would have been a good Kenobi.
