VERB-PRONOUN-PREPOSITION

Poets of the Fall - Seek You Out
Dire Straits - Follow Me Home
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Get On Top

VERB-PREPOSITION-PRONOUN

Guns N' Roses - Think About You
Guns N' Roses - Back Off Bitch (debatable, since not really pronoun but I like this song so there)
Mark Knopfler - Stand Up Guy (same)
Linkin Park - Lying From You (can 'lying' be considered a verb here?)

Shit, this is harder than I thought, mainly because this general formula goes usually for pop songs, most of which I loathe, and thus don't know.

Contribute to the list, guys! smile.gif

Bill Withers - Lean On Me
Ben E King - Stand By Me
Dido - Here With Me (counts? It's an adverb)
HARD-Fi - Move On Now
HARD-Fi - Hard To Beat

Dunno if these are all correct, I suck at this aspect of English.

After scanning my music collection...

VERB-PRONOUN-PREPOSITION
AC/DC - Give It Up
Nickelback - Figured You Out
The Foo Fighters - Have It All

VERB-PREPOSITION-PRONOUN
Evanescence - Taking Over Me
A Perfect Circle - Thinking Of You
Dizzy Gillespie - Stay On It
Joe Satriani - Thinking Of You
Live - Scarred Like That
Pink Floyd - Speak To Me
The Coral - Dreaming Of You

You guys have been a bit generous, really tongue.gif. A lot of the titles you have submitted have adverbs (a couple have verbs) where they need prepositions.

Don't feel bad, though, adverbs and prepositions are the most difficult word classes to get a handle on. A good way to remember it is that for it to be a preposition, it should be able to describe one thing in relation to another. If you can't think of a sensible phrase of the form "the <thing> <preposition> the <thing>" (e.g. the cat on the table, the water down the well, the man with the gun, the movie of the book, etc) then it probably isn't a preposition.

And if all else fails check it in a dictionary.

I don't know if prepositional pgrases or verb phrases count, but in case they do, here is a list. If they don't, some of these may not qualify:

Verb-Prep-Pronoun

Oasis - Roll With It
A-Ha - Take On Me
David Bowie - Hang On to Yourself
Robert Plant - Calling to You
Aerosmith - Shame On You (not too sure of the verb there)
- Think About It
Jefferson Airplane - Coming Back to Me
Annie Lennox - Stay By Me
George Harrison - Think For Yourself
Guns N Roses - Think About You
Michael Jackson - Give in to Me
The Bangles - Be With You
- Waiting for You
The Bee Jees - Run to Me
Bryan Adams - Run to You
Bjork - Come to Me
Elvis - Stuck on You

Verb - Pronoun - Prep

ZZ Top - Give It Up
Violent Femmes - Add it Up
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give it Away
Oasis - Roll it Over
- Bring it on Down
- Go Let it Out
Led Zeppelin - Bring it on Home
Dire Straights - Setting Me Up
George Harrison - Plug Me In
- Let it Down
David Bowie - Never Let Me Down (cheating there by allowing the negation at the front)
The Beatles - Don't Let Me Down (there too)
Talking Heads - Take Me to the River
Blondie - Rip Her to Shreds
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).

I looked through all the MP3s that actually had titles on my computer (and that's a lot), and this is all I found.

Verb - Pronoun - Preposition
The Damned - Smash It Up
The Living End - Putting You Down
Horrorpops - Bring It On!

Verb - Preposition - Pronoun
Dead Kennedys - Bleed For Me
The Damned - Looking At You
Stephan Lynch - Talk To Me
Check out my crappy drawings!
