Check this...

Someone posted this on another forum I frequent as a means of ripping on someone (for whatever reason). I found it very humorous myself, how overly fake the guy with the gun is and how, if you look close enough, you can see the rope holding Boba Fett. Mind you I'm not actually ripping on the movie, acting, or the 80's technology used to make it. I merely found this clip amusing biggrin.gif

Just imagine the fun they must have had at Industrial Light and Magic when they applied the lightsaber effects to all of these scenes...

I do have to admit that that is one of the WORST shots in the movie! I cringe every time I see it. Seriously, Marquand is a terrible director! If you had just either a) moved the camera over three feet to the left, or even simpler cool.gif MOVE THE ACTORS!!! You know, though, that Lucas did do some b camera filming on ROTJ, and he's "Mr. One Take," This has his fingerprints aaall over it.

"Great. Print it."

Fucking moron, Lucas.

On a side note, the helmet the guy is wearing is exactly what I had imagined early Republic soldiers to be wearing, and this would've been the inspiration for the Vader helmet.

Oh well.

I cant get over how bad Fett looks in the background. Surely, there are better harnasses for the stunt man. It looks like the wire is attached to the top of his back. I'm no physics buff, but t wouldnt make much sense for his rockets to propel him like that. His legs should be up in flames.

As awful as that is, I still think the worst looking fake fight in a major movie is in the first Godfather, when Sonny is beating up the abusive husband of his sister in the street. Most of Caan's punches are so clearly off by about a foot.

You guys always think that ROTJ is flawed. Well you apparently never look at old 1940's action movies. Full of mistakes and stupid shots ... but you all decide to continue ripping on Star Wars. Get a life, all of you! - George Lucas

Well, that now beats out the Vader "Noooooo!" for the worst moment in Star Wars history.
