although freddy movies are kinda cheap, and the teenagers in jason movies could be strangled with a cordless phone, freddy vs jason was badass.

i wont go into detail , except, jason IS NOT AFRAID OF WATER. though that movie says it is.

it was real cool. you should watch it.

It was entertaining, but it was nowhere near the best Freddy or Jason movie ever. That's crossing a line.

Yeah, it was a hell of a lot of fun.

I think I'd still rate the first of each of these series as better movies and probably also Wes Craven's Final Nightmare, but I had an absolute ball watching this flick.

Don't you mean New Nightmare? If you do, that movie was wacky.

Sorry! Yup meant New Nightmare. Getting my titles mixed.

It was wacky, I just loved the way they incorporated the "real" actors into a plot. My favourite scene was Nancy/Heather coming to see Wes Craven and them running through some dialogue. They finish up and Nancy/Heather leaves and Wes goes into his study where their entire conversation is already types up on the screen.

That was the best part, that or the part where there's that one dream where Freddy is trying to get the guy in the coffin. That was cool too. I don't remember the movie very well because it has been a long time since I've seen it.

That works.

For mine the one's you probably should go back and watch are:

A Nightmare on Elm Street (first movie)
Dream Warriors (third movie)
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (seventh I think)
Friday 13th (first movie)

I'm a little hazy, but I think it was the second Friday 13th fiolm that I also enjoyed.

After these they each got a little formulaic.

The second Friday The 13th was the one where Jason was introduced as the killer, so it's my favourite in that series, personally. That guy just plain rocks.
