Yep, "that old game."
I was a HUGE fan and JK player for 3 1/2 years straight (since the week it came out to the time Jedi Outcast came out). Well anyway, having since moved on to JA (and now having less time for games as I get older and have more important things to do like grad school and jobs) I almost forgot about this old classic.
Well guess what, it has had a rebirth of sorts. There's a bustling modding community at http://www.jkhub.net (a split off from the famous http://www.massassi.net community that has since come into its own).
One fascinating project is the "JKE" (Jedi Knight Enhanced) which is essentially a fully compatible Graphics overhaul (Quake3 quality model replacements, etc). It's such that you can join a normal game and play perfectly but you'll see the improved models and 16 bit textures. No more boxy Kyles!
Anyway, it's fantastic, there's even a "dedicated server" (though sadly it has been plagued by cheaters lately, I think the admin is on vacation, so bring Kicker Helper and be patient).
I have been hosting a few games on my cable connection, and I may be available during the summer (or at least weekends) to play if anyone wants to contact me for a game... JK or Mysteries of the Sith, I'm up for it.
Fast paced and fun (faster than Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy, though the saber fighting is much more "arcade dumbed down" compared to what you might be used to). And the weapons and powers rock!
Ah, the nostalgia...

http://www.jkhub.net...tion=Extensions Useful extensions, like a tickrate 80 thingy that is great for faster games on broadband (and a mousewheel support thingy that doesn't work for me sadly).
http://jkdf2.net Home of the dedicated server. Enter jk.servegame.com for your TCP/IP Internet for Direct Play "IP Address" in Jedi Knight to join. They have three games to choose from.
