So yeah, if you havn't heard, Glamis is on sale here and at Amazon.com I'm hoping to get some reviews so if you happen to buy and read the book and what to tell me what you think this is the place to do it. It's also probably a good spot for any questions you might have about it.

If they'll ship to England, and if I can actually muster any money whatsoever (there's a big black abyss called a bass guitar stealing all my money at the moment...), I'll grab a copy to wave at people manaically.

EDIT: Thinking about it, you got a link to it on Amazon then?
EDIT2: NEver mind then...

Ah you found it on Amazon, good show! I'll put that link on the main page for it. Glad you're planning to snatch one up.

Ok, phase one of "Operation: Get the Book", that is, get a book store to order it in, failed on account of your publisher being too small or something. So, now I'm waiting for my friend who has a credit card to come online to attempt phase two. If that fails, phase three is to get the library to order it in, borrow it, then tell them I lost it and pay the cost. I don't like that option much, though.

The amount of intrigue and bookstores you're going through just to get he book is probably the biggest complement of all in my view. But if you email the publisher and ask nicely they might accept a money order or something.

I jsut got my author copies. The book looks incredible. It's so shiney and new. The only complaints are they didnt bother numbering the pages since the chapters are so short, and their editors made a few tiney mistakes, but other than that it's exactly as I dreamed it would be.

Ok, should be ordered. I owe my friend $30, and have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive.

For the record, when he says editors, he means Saga Books, not me. We were perusing the galley proofs and actually managed to find places where errors were created that didn't previously exist. I've also ordered my copy, and shall let you know when it gets here.

That was $30 Australian, which for a book isn't too bad, but it's by no means good. It's about what I payed for Dinner of Leeks.

I've received my copy of Glamis, and while it is quite awexome to see it properly published, I am slightly saddened that the pages aren't numbered. I feel like I could have made it look nicer if we didn't go through other editors/publishers, and considering that it's just a hobby of mine, that is slightly dismaying. I need to meet you in person and get you to sign the book some time, JM. tongue.gif
