Young Indiana Jones Good or more McCallum-Lucas crap?

I vaguely remember the Adventures of Young Indiana Jones as being awesome. I just read a wikipedia article about it and it seemed even more awesome, especially because young Indy encounters historical figures. But, I was a kid then (I still thought ROTJ was the best of the OT for god sakes!). So my question for those of you that remember, is it worth buying the DVDs when they come out?
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.
