Excuse me, but didn't Frehorn kill a man? Please, someone tell me this isn't what I'm thinking it is. sick.gif

Grow the fuck up.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing. I assumed it was Frehorn's best friend he killed.

It sincerely astounds me how much intelligence one can find in Yahtzee's games, and how much is wasted on the general populous of the Internet.

Perhaps you need to pay more attention when you read those excerpts from the Book of Chzo in the game, it clearly says Frehorn killed his lover.

Humpf. So predictable. Now everyone is going to say it was obvious all the time, isn't it? Who is next?

That would be me. And yes, it was very very very obvious.

Moreover, FOR THE RECORD, to me, dying at the end was obvious as well! Ha! tongue.gif

Okay, okay. So I loaded a saved file to look closer at who Frehorn shot. I did read the note afterwards, and like David-Kyo said, it did say that Frehorn shot his lover. However, I guess the reason I still can't wrap my head around that is because in the actual flashback itself, the only other person in it is Wilber, who repeatedly refers to Frehorn as "friend." If Wilber is Frehorn's lover, I have no problem with that. However, if it was someone else, I'm confused as to why there was no reference to them either by name or otherwise in the sequence. The person shot had brown hair, not blonde, so my inclination is that it was not Wilbur. But still, why no direct mention of the person's name?

And AdamM, I'm sorry if my unintelligence offends you. I'm sure you only have time in your busy life to ponder the larger questions while sipping your tea and eating your crumpets.

Wilbur in the first scene is wearing a powdered wig, as they did at the time. You can just about see that the hair underneath is brown.

And Frehorn does identify his victim immediately after shooting him. "Wilbur?" is his exact wording.

I think he was referring to Nostaw's remark, not yours.

I wasn't referring to anyone's remark, actually; I was just speaking in general terms. Things like the excellent writing, and (apparently?) well-researched history. But the discussion did prompt the statement as something that... less astute people just don't pick up upon when playing. And I don't see why being English is relevant. I mean, if you're going to mock someone through use of a cultural stereotype, at least make sure it has some kind of bearing on the conversation.

Sorry, did you say powdered wig? How bizarre.

Okay, fair enough. Had no idea why I made the reference. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me. Everything makes sense now. By the way, one of the reasons I love this series and especially Trilby's Notes is because it leaves me with burning questions and curiousities that most games I play don't. I almost think being less astute is more fun, just because it prolongs the enjoyment of the game somewhat. Simply the forethought of a "Powdered Wig" shows the attention to detail Yahtzee made, despite it being lost on me.
