By the way, read the excerpt from the Book of Chzo you find under Matthew's painting. It says something like "Into the House went the Body and the Mind of the Bridgekeeper". So I'm guessing they both got destroyed when Trilby burnt the manor down, so it's probably Somerset who dooms the Realm of Technology to total annihilation...? We'll see when Yahtzee finishes the last part.

I dont know about you but I realized that JD was VERY smart on 7DAS, specially for a retarded child. He manipulated the happenings on the mephistopheles to delay the backup; he controlled Dr. Taylor without really possessing him; he firstly killed the crewmen who could screw his plans in the the best order for himself:
1 - The captain, the only one who had the transmission codes;
2 - The Pilot, so the spaceship would not move anywhere;
3 - That red haired woman whose name I forgot, the only one who had a gun (ok, Dr. Taylor also had one, but he was already under control)

No, my friends. JD's mind is not destroyed in 7DAS. It is better than in 5DAS. Particulary I think he absorbed some of Trilby's smartness while in his head.

Real psychopaths must have an innate smartness, otherwise they'd just stay indoors and play World of Warcraft.

Lenkmann claims that Trilby did not destroy the mind in the manor incident. Somerset destroys the soul and "body" (if we assume that Dr. Taylor's horrible creation counts) but it doesn't matter unless he destroyed the mind, because Lenkmann claims that all three have to be destroyed in conjunction for the bridge to be formed. AND the entire prophecy is defunct unless Somerset is some sort of cryogenically frozen Trilby who is even more of a nutjob because his brain was damaged in the revivification process.

My guess is that Lenkamnn is full of shit.

I feel so bad for loving and beating 5DAS and 7DAS soon after they came out and then missing the release of TN, my favorite part of the storyline so far.

The only difficulties I had were the fire alarm (shhh, sometimes I dont put 2 and 2 together) and the ending because I saved when Prince...... er The Prince was on the stump. Fortunately I'm paranoid about saving in almost every game so I had seperate saves before and after every flashback (except the 7DAS one, I'm pissed because it never happened for me). Typing "move" to see if I was disabled completely and getting "Something snapped behind my eyes" seemed ridiculously obvious, as did typing "lose will to live"

"I did not understand the word 'lose'"
Shit...

3rd times a charm, I won, this story rocks, and I think you guys are all wrong. The final game is going to be a fps where you run around as JD murdering babies with the machete while being chased by the possessed version of Barry shooting lazor beams out his eyes........ because that makes complete and total sense biggrin.gif

In all seriousness, I can't wait till the next chapter, keep up the good work, insert another generic 'uber awesome job' compliment.

Every time somebody writes JD, I read it as John Dorian. The mental image is, at the very least, amusing.
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.
JM's official press secretary, scientific advisor, diplomat and apparent antagonist?

I actually ended up beating Trilby's Notes by typing "die" out of frustration.

It was a hilarious moment in time for me.
I'm just here to point out your shortcomings and stupidity.

Hmm, I typed that because I came to the logical conclusion that since much is at stake here and "people like Trilby die only on their own terms", that's the only solution. Looks like I was the only one. smile.gif

Ok, since were telling our deepest secrets, I have on to confess: I took 24 hours just to to realize that I should die...

Really, I passed all te time trying to touch the idol I thought that JD's power would magically heal trilby. I got so angry that I just said: "Ok, youre not gonna help me, Im not gonna help you, you idiot! Die!" And he did...

Same here. I just thought if I managed to touch the idol, JD would possesses Trilby, Trilby would goes berserk on Lenkmann and Siobhan, and the game would cliché end in with Trilby saving the day and being tormented even more with Siobhan's death than he was in the begining. But at least the day would be saved. DIE was always tried out of frustration, it just happened that the last time I tried it it was just a few sec before the ritual was complete.
