I'm begining to think it's a bad thing since we're kinda stuck talking about the stuff on the surface without being able to discuss about the stuff below without spoiling the mystery for other people or feeling bad for getting Yahtzee to lose sales. dry.gif

I dont care, just tell me whats going on.

You know what? The DeFoe's series need some common name. I say that because when I downloaded 5DAS I didnt even know that fullyramblomatic existed. If it wasn't for reloaded.org, I would never know that 7DAS is a 5DAS sequel. And I would not know that Trilby's notes existed. If these tree games had a common name it would be easy to associate them.

I suggest "Ancestor Crimes" for the series. Its a common factor in the three games that you have the idea that a mess someone did in the past is now coming to get you. It would be like this:

5 days a stranger -> Ancestor Crimes Volume I : The Stranger
7 days a skeptic -> Ancestor Crimes Volume II : The Skeptic
Trilby's notes -> Ancestor Crimes Volume III : The Notes (or The Tall Man)

I suggest leaving that to Mr. Yahtzee, because, to be honest - "Ancestor Crimes" is plain lame.

That will give place to a new problem, because it destroys DeFoe's soul. The mind is what we don't yet know about. Maybe by the time Somerset destroys the statue Trilby will have taken care of the other problem, but we won't know anything for certain until Yahtzee releases the sequel.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but in the chapter you find stuffed under the painting, doesn't it say something about John Defoe's soul going into the 'wood of the tree', and his body and his mind going into the 'house of his father'? That means it was destroyed along with Defoe Manor and John's body.

If someone less lazy than me could find the exact quote it might help.

This all sounds like bollocks to me. You have to make a distinction between Defoe's soul and mind before you can speculate on where they reside. Is the soul all the idol needed to possess someone? Despite his mental retardation and insanity you'd still need a degree of rational thought in order to do something like pick up that machete and stick it in Trilby's stomach, so why wasn't the mind in the idol?

Let me see: in 7DAS the idol is destroyed, and so JD's soul. Well, if JD's soul is not in this world anymore then he is truly dead. His mind is now telling jokes to John Lennon.

Millitant Pacifist is actually correct on this one. I don't personally remember reading it on the piece of paper under the painting, but I do remember reading about it in the Book of Chzo document included in TN SE.

Me too. I have no courage to "donate" the cash to FR. U$ 5 is about R$ 10 in Brazil. You can buy 2 great pizzas or one of those full game magazines with that.

Aye, aye. But the special editions totally worth every single bits of this 5 bucks. However, I agree that this whole more questions answered and more questions asked included as bonus is a bit unfair for both people who see the answers and new questions and hardly can talk about it and the people who don't have the played the SE yet. Maybe the next game will have every questions answered in the normal version. Or maybe Yahtzee will release some sort of documents or FAQ to answer all of this, fuels our speculations and get everyone hyped and playing the Trilby series in marathon before the final chapter is released.

Pfft. And deprive himself of a perfectly good cash cow?

Personally, I plan to get the SE for all three of the games before the forth is released, just to quell the lingering sense of missing out.

Totally agree with blueskirt. And if this unfair answering of questions in the SE's continues , it shall kill these forums. And I still dont have courage to "give" the 5 box.

Unfair answering, eh? You're provided with everything you need to know within the games and pay five bucks if you want to get a little more, like some background information or just the feeling that it really is something special. Not much to kill here anyway.

Thats a great idea. Lets make a marathon. No winner. But the looser pays the SE of all three games for everyone else.
