I've got it.

I know Trilby's real real name. I don't care what Yahtzee says his real name is, I know it. I'll give you a bit to guess. He's educated, incredibly witty, and impeccably well-dressed. He has semi-long black hair, blue eyes, hails from England and is obviously quite tall.

Now, who else might this describe?

Any guesses?

No?

I know his name because Trilby is, in fact, Peter Cook.

So you can take your secret identity, Mr Cook, and stuff it.

It's sad that my immediate thought was, "Mawwiage! That bwessed awwangement, that dweam wifin a dweam..."

Turns out that 'internal haemorrhaging" is codeword for "forces of evil". WELL PLAYED, MR. COOK.

I would like to note that this is also a totally real life sighting pic of Trilby forreals because I know Google Images wouldn't lie:

revolution: You know, normally I like the doom and pain and shit.
revolution: But I want to see Trilby kick the Prince's ass.

I always thought Trilby was a characterisation of Yahtzee.

I think he said something along those lines once about his novels' and his games' protagonists.

That's how most of them start out but they tend to develop their own personalities over time. Like now Trilby became this brooding, self-righteous slightly insane guy and Quinn became a reckless loony tune and Articulate Jim became a sardonic loutish anti-hero.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

So not characterisations of you at all, then.

Yeah, I usually try to make my protagonist what I want to be (when I actually am bothered to write something), but then the story changes them.

Dunno, the clones in 6DAS seemed to have a few screws loose, and I don't think it was caused by the cloning process.

Forgive me for not being entirely punctual, cannot be arsed to check:
Theo: "But resurrection is impossible!"
Trilby clone: "Until now, I thought so too. However, recent events force me to re-assess this question."

I think that there's always a measure of somebody in any of their character creations, but yeah, they develop their own personalities over time.

I definitely thought that Trilby was getting a bit frothing during TN, classic ol' Lovecraftian style. And the clones were also a couple sandwiches short of a picnic.

I'm not sure about that, but I do remember having a hunch that Trilby might have been part of the Somerset lineage.

Yeah, and since it's in the special edition, you're not supposed to go and tell everybody. That way the people who bought it have a super special secret, and they can laugh in everyone else's faces for not knowing. And you ruined it. Thanks a lot.

... well, at least I still know Trilby's birthday. Not like anyone else would care at all, but still...

Just a heads up, chuckles - if you're going to use a spoiler warning, it helps if you also include what the spoiler is FOR. So that the reader can decide whether or not they want to read it. It's a very simple concept that many people on the internet seem to find mystifying.

God do I feel like an idiot now.

Also, arien: Stop being such a douche. It's a game.
