Say, why is it that the Tall Man dressed the same, no matter what the era? I'm pretty sure they didn't have black leather trenchcoats in Grecco-Roman times- why not a toga? And on the British ship- why not a pirate outfit? I think the Tall Man would be pretty cool dressed as a pirate. He could be 'Barnacle Tall Man' or some other name worthy of a salty seagoin' demon incarnate.

I think that would add a comical tone to the Tall man rather than it being as freaky as it really is.

Chzo sees all of time at once, past, present and future. The coat is kind of a corruption of Cabadath's druidic robe. Probably best not to ask what it's made of.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

See, I wonder about that: if a document truly is Top Secret then why stamp 'TOP SECRET' on it to remind us of that fact? Like, the assumed logic is if someone sees those words they'll go 'Oh, I'll stop reading then'.

********* TOP SECRET *******

If you are not authorized to read ths document, then stop reading it and destroy it immediately. If you already readed this document and you are not authorized to read it then kill yourself after reading it.

So he knows how the plot will eventually turn out? He wins? Because if not, then it's not really worth to screw around with these cults and rituals and everything, is it?

Oh I don't know... a Cassandra complex might be just the right reason to go on such a huge killing spree, don't you think?

Another unsolved question:

Q - In that scene when we see Roderick talking to his friend, he says something like "I haven't even begun to recount the strange events that have sorrounded this artifact", referring to the idol. Considering that he didnt even know what happened to the Sea Angel, what was he talking about?

I'm sure that as well as time, he sees into all possible universes, and therefore knows that he will both win and lose at the same time. However, this hasn't been decided yet.

It's all quantum.

Well, to be able to see future doesnt mean to be able to change future. Remember chzo's limitations?

hey, I just realised something weird about tat so called 'hallucination' about the spaceship..
7 days a skeptic took place in something like 2027 something, and Trilby's notes took place in 1997
then it wasn't halucination, he actually saw through the future, maybe the Ch2O (that's how i pronounce it, chemistry lol) have something to do with it or whatever..

When I got that spaceship thing, I just got upset and went back without examining the box in there, so I guess I missed something that might explain why I'm getting something that will happen in future so I need a little bit of detalis here

and is there another one too, about spirit????

EDIT: one more thing, english isn't my main language and there're many words that I didn't know like "mannequin" and those "blinds" thing on the window so I HAD to use a walkthrough...

It would have been MUCH better if it were a point-and-click game so all ppl would enjoy it

You didnt miss anything. Anything you write in the hallucinations give you a "father, why" or a "it hurts". If you insist you can get a "it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts ". There is nothing to do in the spaceship.

Yeah Trilby saw the future, so what? Anyone can do this.

These particular words like "blinds" and "mannequin" had about half a dozen synonyms, one is bound find at least one among them. I honestly think that the parser system of TN was a whole lot better than that of the old Sierra games, in which you had to play "guess which word I was thinking" all the time, which, combined with the Sierra trademark dying-all-the-time and getting-stuck-right-before-the-end-because-I-missed-a-seemingly-insignificant-item-in-the-beginning features made many of the most frustrating adventure games in the history of the universe (and I haven't mentioned those fangames made with AGI).

And anyway, we all know how Yahtzee relates himself to the English heritage. smile.gif

Yeah, the only problem I had with the parser was 'point to chisel' and that's because I was being a twat. I was trying 'wave at chisel' and 'motion to chisel'. smile.gif
