2 - Imediately before 5DAS, and the MC is AJ.

I like this idea, it would make AJ's death more meaningful rather then him just some secret agent guy that randomly died.

It would be cool if you get to see more after 7days, so he gets put in prison, the thing is on the loose... etc.

But whatever the case, it will be a long time before Yahtz makes another game.

Just got this crash on my first visit to the 'alternate' hotel, when making sure pliers don't make good crowbars; command was something like

use pliers to pull off bars

Error went like:

(Room 11 script line 265)
Error: Said: supplied word is not in dictionary or is an ignored word

I hope yahtzee does another if not a trilby one then something in a similar vein..

Now that there's no one who hasn't completed the game, I guess it's okay to post spoilers here as well. So, spoilers coming up, look out.

I've been thinking about one thing, namely why Simone had to die. First we think it was the ghost of John DeFoe that did her in, but it was apparently the Tall Man, right? Why, what was that Simone did against them? She'd never as much as touched the idol, or anything, actually, she had been helping the Order's cause by taking part in destroying DeFoe's body. Maybe this is something we get the answer for in the sequel, or I just ignored something very important?

Well she was possessed in 5DAS.

Also, I think we should keep spoilers to the spoiler thread. I know that when I first played 5DAS I hadn't joined the forums, but I used to browse them anyway and I'd be annoyed if there was an unlabelled spoiler. As a matter of fact, I haven't fully played through 7DAS yet - I got to the third day, I think, and died, and I hadn't saved since before the first spacewalk - it annoyed me, so I closed and haven't played it since tongue.gif.

You know, Simone's death isnt the only question the games don't answer. Ill make a list of questions/contradictions that must be dissolved in the next game(s). There are also my viewpoints about them: Q = question, PA = possible ( but weird ) answer.

Q - Why Simone died and who killed her?
A - The Tall Man killed her so Trilby would have a reason to travel to Clanbrownin Island.

Q - How John DeFoe buried himself in the bathroom?
A - I dont have any for this one.

Q - Who died first, John DeFoe or Roderick defoe? ( In 5DAS, Roderick TRIED to kill John, but Matthew helped John, as seen in Matthew's diary; Then John killed everyone. In Trilby's notes, Roderick killed John. )
A - You got me.

Q - Where did Roderick tried to kill John? (In 5DAS, Matthew says in his diary that was "blood in the kitchen". In Trilby's notes, Roderick tried to kill (or killed) John in the basement. )
A - Actually, Roderick hit John very hard, but he didnt die and crawled to the kitchen, where Matthew found him, half-dead.

Q - Why so much name coincidences? Chahal, Taylor, Somerset, Omalley...
A - The Tall Man wants to "judge" the sons of his enemies.

Q - So, what about the the REAL Dr. Somerset, who doesn't appear in the games?
A - That was coincidence...

I could also mention Matthew's birthday, but someone else did this.

Oh, I forgot one.
Q - Where did the Tall Man got those clothes?
PA - There are great shopping centers on Ethereal Realm.

I also forgot all the P's on PA.

Ah yeah, that was the other thing that troubled me. Yahtzee mentioned somewhere that the guy whose corpse lies in the stairwell in the dark hotel is an inhabitant of the Realm of Magic, where there are humans and benevolent ethereal beings as well as... things... like Chzo. My question is that how come an entity with quasi-limitless power and hatred towards every living thing hasn't taken over the magic realm? How come he only wants to run rampant in the Realm of Technology? Maybe I missed something?

I dont think chzo is so powerful like that. We can see many of his limitations on Trilby's notes. He can show his powers only on July 28th. He needs an acolyte ( Cabadath, the Tall Man) to do his work. His prophecies can be overriden. There must be a ritual full of frescura to wake him up.

Of course, his followers think he is hot shit, but the true is that they know nothing about his enemies.
I think this is the Yahtzee's hidden card. In the next game, Trilby will ally some chzo's enemy to defeat him. It would be cool if it was a demon hunter (Chris Quinn?) or an angel, since chzo is a demon.

If Chzo is defeated, wouldn't John DeFoe be defeated as well?

If so, the defeating of Chzo would happen after 7DAS.

Personally, I'd like to think that Trilby's miraculous revival was not just so he could shoot the stupid idol into space (which anyone who read his notes and talked to Siobhan could have done). That's a tad anti-climactic, to say the least.

Maybe we can play many different people in different time periods. It'd be a tad bit like Eternal Darkness, but Eternal Darkness was awesome so who cares about that?

Actually, that July 28th goes only for the Realm of Technology (that's when the connection between the two worlds is the strongest), as I gather, no such limitations apply to Chzo in his own realm.

And all the rituals and limitations only apply in the realm of technology. As it's presented in the game, once Chzo gets in he'll slaughter everything. It follows then that there must be equally powerful beings in the magical realm less inclined to genocide.
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.
JM's official press secretary, scientific advisor, diplomat and apparent antagonist?

Well, Trilby lives in the sciene realm, so chzo's limitations apply here.

Man, now I see that Trilby's life is really messed up. I mean, the Order wont sleep 'till they have the idol and Trilby tied up on a torture altar. We know that Trilby sent the idol to space, but so what? When the cultists see their precious piece of wood flying to Kripton, they wont be happy at all. No way Trilby will live after this.

And, to all those who didnt understand what I said before, "frescura" is a portuguese word that means something like "gay behaviour".

Well, being hunted by people who wear the same kind of uniform is not a novel experience for Trilby, is it? biggrin.gif
