Am I the only one who consistently read Chzo as Ch20 in game? Thought it was a funny name.

Me and a friend of mine have some comics about ourselves in fictious situations and sometimes dragging in some of the people from a forum we go very often. Two of those feature the Tall Man (I hope you don't mind, Yahtzee), so I'll post them here.

Hope you guys (and possibly even gals) enjoy them at least a bit...

Oh, and they're drawn by my friend. I merely script the comics.

I just wanted to point out that in the first comic features Grim dressing up as the Tall Man.

If this is obvious, i aplogize. Since i draw the damn things, every single fault is so damn obvious and overproportioned.

Also, here's the location of the rest of the comics/some blatant advertising:

Did anybody else spend a large proportion of TN trying to get Trilby to remove his hat?

I did several times but he kept on mentioning about how naked he would feel... honestly, Trilby is such a pussy.

I wouldn't exactly call Trilby a pussy, it's just that he has his own little problems, as well as most other people. wink.gif Yahtzee had indeed mentioned something about a mental complex Trilby has, but I forgot where I read it.

The king, and Cabadath is the prince.

*Spoilers Ahead*

NO.Chzo is the king while Cabadath is the prince. The last vision and the prophecy verses of the ending explains that Chzo the king turned Cabadath into the prince after he was captured by Chzo. Some verses here and there throughout the game mentions the Prince in service of the King

Posting specifically to say that Trilby's Notes is by far one of the best adventure games I have ever, ever played. Of course, I haven't played all that many, but you've got to start somewhere, right?

If you were to ask me, TN is by far much better written and well designed than 5 and 7 days. Considering how good Yahtzee's older games were, that's saying something.

Kudos particularly for the crazy-ass cult you came up with, with the bizarre positive spin in favour of a receiving obscene amounts of agony, as well as that unique euphemism for a painful death. Also, considering what Chzo is, please don't love me.

Also, the Tall Man is a far better villain/psychopathic demon than the Welder, with a stylish opera cape (did they have those things back then?) and that weird staff/umbrella/axe he wields. It's a pity the Calabath side of him had little to no build-up, I would have preferred more knowledge of the wacky magicks he performed.

The text parser was very good - any sticking points were less to do with the syntax required, than some logical flaw in my plan. Speaking of which, the puzzles were very simple, consisting largely of fetch-quests and guess the magic word. Nevertheless, it allowed to atmosphere to seep through, not real life frustrations. There is the issue of a lack of feedback in the last scene, and the question of just what those little white balls in the hall were.

The music was brilliant, particularly the part with the harpischord, where the same tune suddenly changed timbre and you just KNEW something was going wrong.

The hallucination of the Welder was a massive mindfuck, as was teleporting into that strange altar room. I missed the 7 days hallucination though, wish me luck next time.

Also, damn you that person on SA for making me think Siobhan = Tall Man! Next time I search for a name, I'm not going to mouse over a spoiler!

You know for the upcoming (very violent)game Mortal kombat armageddon in which you can finally create your own character,I planned to create something that looked really hideous an demonic. If not hideous at least something you don't want to look at. I intended to make a character called Cabadath and really make the look of the character resemble Cabadath.

But then I realized, the thing that makes Cabadath so frightening is his abilty to appear again and disappear as well as the surprise factor. Making a combatant fight in the game and appear too long gets rid of the scare factor

Try another line of inquiry, or rephrase it. It's probably just that the phrase isn't recognised - or you're spelling it wrong, perhaps.
