This is a frunky idea I had while needing to take a poop. I tried to make a list of all the games I know of Yahtzee making and when they were made, in the hopes of charting them somehow, doing some kind of fancy regression, and seeing how many games Yahtzee was likely to make in the future. At the moment I am too lazy to do all that charting and stuff, however -- but I have the games and dates list! You don't have to read it all: I just conclude that yahtzee will make 110 games before he dies.

1. August 9, 1998 - Arthur Yahtzee Friday
2. February 10, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Saturday 1
February 10, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Saturday 2
February 23, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Saturday 3
March 1, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Saturday 4
3. April 26, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Yesterday 1
May 20, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Yesterday 2
September 15, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Yesterday 3
November 13, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Yesterday 4
December 18, 1999 - Arthur Yahtzee Yesterday 5
4. [Copyright]2001 - Rob Blanc 1
[Copyright]2001 - Rob Blanc 2
[HOTU date]2000 - Rob Blanc 3
5. [HOTU date]2000 - RON1
6. September 27, 2002 - Odysseus Kent
7. March 20, 2003 - Age of Evil 1
July 11, 2003 - Age of Evil 2
8. June 27, 2003 - Really Interesting World of Chris Quinn
9. September 22, 2003 - 5DAS
10. July 22, 2004 - 7DAS
11. July 25, 2005 - GFW
12. December 27, 2005 - 1213 Intro
December 30, 2005 - 1213 Episode 1
February 13, 2006 - 1213 Episode 2
February 19, 2006 - 1213 Episode 3
13. February 3, 2006 - Teddy Murder
14. June 21, 2006 - Unreleased Trilby Adventure is finished

Dates taken from a variety of sources which I have all listed if anybody really cares (and you don't). The dates in 2000, 2001 are pretty shaky, but that's 14 games (I probably missed some -- what others are there?) over 8 years, or 1.75 games a year. Yahtzee was born in 1983 and the first game listed was made when he was 15, so if he dies when he is 78 he will have been making games for 63 years: that's 110 games!

That's a lot of Yahtzee games.

What led you to the conclusion that he'd live until 78? Why not 79 and 1/2?

Anyway, artwork doesn't come from conveyor belts.

EDIT: Plus, if there are or will be any students of medicine among the forumers, surely someone will research how to achieve immortality right? wink.gif

You're right. He'll probably live a year and a half longer. The Rob Blanc games should probably be counted separately, too.

That makes 2 games a year for 64.5 years -- 129 games!

EDIT in response to your EDIT:
I don't think Yahtzee would be able to afford the surgery required for immortality if he gives 129 handmade games away for free.

Right. But will the person in question also share his wisdom? I know I wouldn't. happy.gif

Pop quiz, hotshot. Garry Kasparov is coming to kill you, and the only way to change his mind is for you to beat him at chess. What do you do, what do you do?

Dunno 'bout you, I'd do anything to be kept supplied with these games.

Have you accounted for the temporal abnormalities of getting married and raising children?

No, but I guess that those who go through the immortalisation process will have to consent to be sterilized (in a way that they'll still be to engage in sexual intercourse). That way, the few who get to live forever won't be able to create anymore spawns to come f*ck with us. Rest of the world can go on as they wish.

But anyway, we're talking about Yahtzee here, and you know how HE feels about raising children.

It's probably a mutual feeling.

Hatred? Hell no, I'm devoid of any feelings when it comes to our little vendetta.

Only three a day to fit in with the regularity of conventional meals.
