Metallica - Master of Puppets...
...
...don't laugh!

actually, it's my least favorite of their earlier, decidedly awesome stuff. I can't understand what makes it such a definitive 'metal' album of the last 25 years up there with Slayers 'Reign in Blood' and whatever else you can think of.

I love any and all things Slayer, so...I dunno.
Anyway, "The Private Press" by DJ Shadow is in right now.

Megadeth = rock.

Primus - "Tales From The Punchbowl". I've been hearing a lot of Primus these days.

Deftones - S/T (it was a disappointing CD, sure, but the first half is frickin' gold)

Since I've been going all pi-eyed this week, I've listened to everything from Guns N' Roses to Slipknot. I like the first Slipknot album, laugh if you will, it is a classic metal album. New one out in 2 months!

It was different, but it's far from classic.

Among the host of stupid nu-metal fuckfaces of that thankfully short lived era, Slipknot stood out as one of the more formidable acts. Classic? Don't make me laugh.

Right now i am hearing - Sarah Vaughan's rendition of "Misty" *sigh*
