I have to say, I was turned onto your site "Nitpicks" a few months back by my brother a HUGE starwars fan. I know Im probably a year or two late in saying this, but thanks for putting all my thoughts of what Lucas has done to his fans into words. I share so many of your viewpoints its uncanny, but I was unable to articulate them. A few things you haven't mentioned. First the lame Ewok TV movie that came out a few years past Jedi, complete with (Tolkeiness) Magic and crystals. Also one thing I felt about the jedi in the Episode 2 (which I feel is by far the weekest of all the films) was how pathetic the Jedi looked. The look appear and move like hobo power rangers. Im sure youve heard about the resent announcment of the original enhanced version comming out on DVD. What are your thoughts on that? I can't believe Lucas has the balls to release these. I can''t wait to see what he does with the next Indiana Jones picture. Thanks Chefelf and keep calling it as you see it!

I think you've come to the wrong forum. This is the gushers wing of www.theforce.net.

We'll accept none of your anti-PT diatribes here!

Don't mind Jariten, ScubaSteve. Jariten's our local PT lover and likes to throw cold water on our bash parties.

Anti-PT = Anti- Prequel Trilogy.

As for the release of the OT (Original Trilogy--or as I prefer OOT, ORIGINAL Original Trilogy), there's a thread around here about that, and the DVD is not all it's cracked up to be. However, it is SOMETHING.

Welcome to the boards.

As for the new Indy movie---not looking forward to it. It scares me when Lucas says dialogue will be more involved than action. In that case, let's just not make it all. PLEASE! Besides, Harrison Ford is really showing his age nowadays. Just doesn't seem like a good move. I have no problem with ending on "The Last Crusade."

Flying Ferret

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

Thanks for writing, Scuba Steve!

I own the Ewok movies. I had big plans of doing reviews of them a while back but I ran out of steam. Who knows what the future may bring. smile.gif

Pweeeeaaase?

Chefelf, that would be so great. What a vision of stratospheric air for our solar sails. Bringing us back towards a crashing re-entry with the hope of new material that IS a breath of fresh air.

yes, seriously. smile.gif

Welcome to the boards. As a newbie here myself, and having lurked for over a year, I am in a similar pair of shoes as you. Nice not to be the only youngblood.

And Chefelf, man, do the Ewoks! That would be so much fun! And, aw heck, if you would accept it, I could try my hand at doing something with them. Granted, it may not be as pithy as your review(s) might be. Of course, if you are planning on it, I don't want to steal your thunder. So, I guess I'm just throwing my hat in the ring. cool.gif

I own the ewok movies too. My brother loves them. Actually, the first one is not half bad. Its not half good either, but its not half bad.
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.
