Well, a scene that would be interesting would be...

Padme in her apartment with Obi-wan on Coruscant:

Obi-wan: He slaughtered.... younglings... (sobs)
Padme: No, I don't believe it...
Obi-wan: He is the father, I'm sorry.
Padme: (looks at Obi-wan)
Obi-wan: (moves closer to Padme and coos at her belly) You're gonna be strong little Jedi, huh?
Padme: (Looks confused)
Obi-wan: (speaking strange baby giberish to Padme's gut)
Enter Anakin
Anakin: What... the ... fu... (turns on Lightsaber) I knew it! You're with him!!!
Padme: No! It's not what you think!
Obi-wan: (makes rapid foot stomping as seen in the Flintstones and runs)

end

How can you not go wrong with silly sound effects, Jerry Springer like situations, and comical droid banter?!

please...

HA laugh.gif ROTFLOL!

In my life i have never Ever
used that many acronyms

but this warrants it.
Helena might not agree but i think

that would be prefectly awesome.
Obi-wan secretly in love with Padme would be magic.

And to get caught by Anakin; instant drama.
that scene would've made the battle on Mustafar a lot more significant.

I think any kind of actual tension would have been cool. Maybe to actually show Obi Wan being tempted by Padme and in the end denying it would have given us a feeling of victory in an otherwise grim movie. I could have sat through Yoda's ass getting owned by senate seating if there'd been some kind of moral victory in the end.

If Lucas had done what he should have done, and showed Anakin as an adult to start with, this wouldn't be a issue in the first place. Obi-Wan would be in his 40s or 50s - an age consistent with his appearance in the OT - and far too old for Padme (unless she really, really has a thing for older men). Yet another reason why the whole 'love triangle' thing is completely pointless and unnecessary.

I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Let's assume Obi wan
was around 30ish in ROTS.

thats puts him at a good 50ish for ANH right?

Perhaps Tatooines
harsh climate was hell on Obi's skin.

Oh, God not that lame excuse again. If it was so harsh on Obi-Wan's skin, why wasn't it equally harsh on Owen and Beru and Luke? No, I'm not buying it. Absolutely no way is the Obi-Wan we see in ANH a day under 60 years old.

So what? His skin isn't any lighter than theirs. If anything they should have suffered more skin damage than Obi-Wan, having lived there all their lives.

You'll find many of the truths you cling to can simply be affected by the addition of the suggestion "perhaps". tongue.gif

Yeah perhaps...
And since i don't remember why

we're having this conversation or
what my point was i'll just gracefully bow out.

I'm far too lazy at the moment to scroll up.
But i stand by my whole love triangle thing.

there are even crazier people than I,
who believe this to be true.

The Stover novelisation did have a scene or two where Palpatine tried to plant doubts in Anakin's mind that something was going on behind his back. But in the end that is as far as it went. The point was Anakin becoming ever more jealous and possessive of Padme, and Obi-wan was just another obstacle in Anakin's mind by the time they met on the volcano planet.

But as we all know, nothing was going on. Obi Wan and Padme were never lovers, no matter how many fanfics have been written or sites created to house them all.

okay im unbowing out
that volcano planet is Mustafar
and although the Obi/Padme relationship
never really took place it is a natural
understanding that 3 is a crowd

Just in theory alone one can argue that
Yes, Padme was important to Anakin
She also cared for Obi-Wan
And the feelings were mutual.
Because..... Obi cared about Anakin's

well being and the path he was going down.
Sure Ani doubted the both of them
Obi was visiting her without his knowlegde and
there was a whole lot of time for
Padme to mess around while Ani was with Palps.

Im not saying she did but in Ani's mind it all fit.
So whats wrong with a little fanfiction
there are sites about Prof. Snape
and Hermione being lovers and thats ridiculous
