Maybe we would have had actually a better PT if he still had some restrictions? Or at least better co-writers?
Totally agree. You know, if I created a multi-million dollar series, I would do this: I'd hire someone who was severely honest. Not necessarily a creative person, but a person that would say, "Dude, that just sucks donkey balls, you can't do that to the fandom."
I do think there's an incredible coincidence between Marcia leaving and the decline of Star Wars, but like you say, it matters little now. Just like it matters little to complain. However... it's good to complain, because you know, someday, someone will do a feature length flash animation, or just shoot their own PT and we'll be privy to it on the net. It'll be awesome, because we're not alone in our complaints and disenchantment to the PT's. I just want gushers to know, George is not almighty, DESPITE the fact Star Wars is his baby (even though he treats it like a red-headed stepchild), it does not ipso facto mean that he's doing them right. And by right, I mean, adhering to the first films he created.
Sigh. I'm hitting my melancholy stage again in regards to Star Wars.
No Attachments, No Interest My beef with the PT

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"
All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

Yeah, well...as far as I know, Lucas is supporting this kind of film making. Using the new cheap technologie to make the movies and the net to supply them. I bet he'd like the idea of a fan driven remake.
I'd love to read your screenplays, Curtis.
And just in case you need a bit aged, oversized Obi-Wan Kenobi who still can wield a sword...gimme a call. I'd love to audition.
