I'm looking for a way to keep track of when and where bands you like will show up in your area, preferably something that will send me e-mails beforehand so I can buy tickets. I'm using Ticketmaster, but it's proven largely ineffective and sends me crap for House of Blues.

Anybody know a good third-party website that will do what I want?

Seek forums based on the bands you like. Hardcore fans will post upcoming tour info and schedules. I missed all the Atlanta Crowded House shows because I just wasn't aware. sad.gif Since I've made an effort on the internet, I've not missed either Finn on tour. Works for me. Thanks for the reminder to check the frenz board. smile.gif

Yeah, I usually check the websites and stuff, but I'm looking for something easier to use, something that pretty much keeps track of it for me.

Maybe I could make something like that...

More than likely, your only bet is if someone in the area is running a site that does just that. For instance, I use Steel City Music to keep track of shows in the Hamilton area. I've never heard of anything like what you're looking for though.
