Well, I assumed it was because log meant journal, bog meant toilet, and hence blog meant crappy journal.

For all the valuable work (value to me) I put into explaining about the products I buy for myself in detail, that seems devaluing to me in that sense. I mean if someone came along and mistaken my site and the detailed view of the products I buy as a "blog," it may sound offensive in that sense of "crappy."

If something is going to be so "crappy" to me as for none exercising or not for practice purpose of generating improvements, why do it?

"Blog" is short for "Web log" -> "weblog" -> "-blog"
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Web log sounds clear, in that it is done for the "web" as to the description to "World Wide Web." Wlog would have sounded less insulting to me.

How about if the work was done remotely and broadcasted not as a web log, can't really be called a Blog can it?

To me that is like saying (Web) "bearch" as to search and "bind" as to find.

Anyway I must go for now.

Wlog is just too difficult to say. Seriously, try it. It's not natural. It needs a vowel between w and l. Blog on the other hand just rolls off the tongue.

"Blog" is the slang term used simply because it is the most prominent syllable in "weblog". Easy.

Okay, that makes sense to me "weblog sounds clear," would "eblog" or "elog" make sense in the noticable syllable sense?

(Just hopefully my work is not mistaken as a "crappy" log from some people who say "it's blog" in a dark voice meaning that.)

Yes an explanation to the verbal sounding. I just perceive a negative image from the word "blog," hopefully not in the real terms.

Yeah I just got a myspace account. I'm still fiddling around with it. After looking around at a few random profiles to see how many ways I can configure mine, my eyes started to bleed.

That is the one thing I don't understand. Why make it so ugly?

Also, people who put music on their profile who arn't on a band officially piss my dial-up having ass.
