I agree with her comments. She's probably targeted for death now, so let us pray.

I couldnt see the silly thing either, but I imagine it's a woman speaking English which would indicate it isn't from Al Jazeera and possibly just a hoax.

Also, do you know just how many people on Al Jazeera are marked for death by the US or various Muslim groups? It's not that big of a deal and with all of the other stuff going on I doubt Al Qaida is putting together a task for to kill some chick who made fun of their turbans or something.

In conclusion though, wouldn't Pat Robertson have called for her death too if she';d said stuff about Christianity? Hell, he's called for the deaths of people for less.

Crap, how come I can see it. It's some Arab lady, who is secular, getting mad at militant muslims. She's speaking in Arabic. She stood up for Jews and Buddhists, two groups that extremeist muslims target with violence.

It was odd to see, I can't belive that news broadcast was actually aired over there. She also stood up for the US, which I found odd since I assumed they all hated Americans.

I think more people apparently need to be watching the great, nearly socialist films of Iran. There are loads of folks out there speaking about the treatment of women and the poor, and this had been going on for decades. It's not all angry ragheads with guns, despite what you may have learned from CNN. This notion that there is no freedom of speech, 100% terrorism and hell-bent on destroying the freedoms enjoyed by the West, well you have to know that's propaganda, right?

I could see some of the subtitles, but not the whole thing. I did notice the express news at the bottom of the screen so at least they can read and write. Nice big buildings in the background too.

I can see why they'd be upset at having to accept the devils of 20th century culture.

Hmm, this reminds me of a little talk I had with someone from Iran a few days ago. He was so convinced of our evilness and couldn't stop laughing at the thought of our female chancellor, but apart from that, he was just the ordinary guy with just the ordinary thoughts. Funny how culture, religion and what not can make all the little differences...

Alot of what she is saying is what other people have been saying for years. Some of it is good and makes sense, but alot of what she is saying is bollocks. Some of her arguements just do not hold water.

Thats not what CNN says. You clearly don't own a TV or don't have cable. Sorry sad.gif

Most of what she said was pretty true except like Jews only using "work and knowledge" to get what they needed... that completely negates there blame in the Israel situation which they have to some extent.

I think she was talking about the global persection of Jews, namely in the middle east and europe. The overwhelming majority did better themselves and did persevere. Regardless of the supression, they went on to take over diamond businessess, hollywood, scientiic fields, etc..

They didn't resort to shelling themselves in violent communities that preached hate and aggression to the outside. I've been across europe and north america and have yet to run into a violent Jewish community. They are strong people.

I'm guessing you haven't seen many Jews from Israel?
