United's new airline to be called 'Ted'

Coming soon to airports coast to coast will be "Ted" Airlines, the low-cost carrier created by United Airlines.

The formal unveiling will take place Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Denver, airline officials said in a statement Wednesday. That is also when tickets go on sale. Ted Airlines service will launch from Denver early next year.

In keeping with the airline themes, here's one for you. Reminds me a bit of a CSI episode:

You could just edit your post, you know.

Hee hee. Ted Airlines. It's funny because 'ted' is the last three letters of 'united'. Ted is also a name that sounds like Ned. That's why it's funny.

Ahhh CSI, gotta love it.

Do we really need more planes? Do THAT many people fly? Will it REALLY be more cost effective? I mean, I know I wouldn't want to be on one of the first flights of "Ted".

Oh and it's only Thursday, not Friday yet. Nice try tho! wink.gif

<sigh> That's what happens when you panic after doing something electronically stupid. The Edit button was the furthest thing from my mind. It's the simple things that get you in the end :-)

I think they should test airlines like they do new medical studies. I don't have anywhere to go or any reason to go there, but if "TED" wants to ship me somewhere for free to test out their planes... well I'd be glad to volunteer.

Hmmm. Not that they would really need passengers to test out airplanes.....

That drunk Norwegian thing reminded me of a special I saw once. Apparently people getting drunk and out of control on airplanes is semi common. Some people just freak out. This one man was so out of control and dangerous that four men had to restrain him. They eventually killed him because he was so out of control.

Weird story.
