This is the part where I usually stare at the person asking in sheer disbelief.
Instead, I shall just direct you here, and say THEY ARE DELICIOUS.

Why so confused, then?

Update: Still averaging content with my lovely drivers ed class.
Today, after listening to the teacher's wonderfully gory and racist story about how someone not obeying traffic laws and the evils of Chinese culture killed an eight year old girl (her head went "pop" and there were brains all over the road apparently) I've concluded that either my teacher has the best luck for being right next to gruesome accidents in the world, or he's making stuff up.
Oh, and among other things, we watched a movie entitled Look Were Your Going.

I happen to hate grits, though I've been born and raised in the Carolinas. And Janey, Charleston definitely is a category all of its own, your mom's right - though there are similarities, of course. And I'm sorry you had to live in Columbia. Bleck. I hate Columbia. No offense if you happened to love it...
Anyway...
Good: I'm making money by being the percussion instructor/drum tech/whatever you want to call it for a local high school's drumline/marching band. Also, my half-a-thyroid is finally functioning correctly so that I don't have to take medicine for the rest of my life!
Bad: It's been almost 100F degrees every day, with no wind whatsoever, humidity in the 80%s, no shade past 9 am, we're out there for hours, and we don't get much in the way of breaks. Also, I thought this would be fun since I loved being drum captain when I was in high school, but I'm finding I just don't enjoy it like I used to. Also, both my car and computer are still dead, still unfixable, and it looks like I'll have just enough money to replace one or the other, not both, and not very soon, either. *whine whine whine* Okay, I'm good now.

I don't actually remember much about Columbia itself, except I do remember loving Irmo (do you know that area?) and our huge labyrinth of a neighborhood.
And hooray for properly functioning glands!

Um, no I mustn't.
Irmo is cool, Janey, I just hate Columbia, the city. Except for the one small square where all the governmental buildings are (the capitol, etc); it's everything a capital city shouldn't be. And with a university strewn all through it.

Good: Almost done with classes and actually finding time to apply to jobs en masse.
Bad: I have to write an easy paper that will occur tomorrow, and a 5-7 page paper on the end of the Civil War which will hopefully occur tomorrow and maybe Friday morning, and I may have to finish it when I visit my girlfriend Friday - Next Thursday.
Ugly: Bond will probably respond to this with something unhelpful.
