Now that I'm back, I'm going to celebrate my birthday, which happened on the sixth. Yay. laugh.gif *dances and shouts* *eats cake, or rather, wishes she were eating cake* *jumps for joy* *looks around the computer lab and decides to stop elliciting stares from the other users* unsure.gif

I'm one year closer to being able to say that I'm old now! happy.gif Yippee.

Indeed, Happy Birthday, Misty!

By curious coincidence, mine is on the 14th (next Sunday on this part of the world), so I'll have to borrow the limelight for a bit cometh the hour...

Well, having shredded a sufficient volume of wrapping paper, I feel the time to tell a long, rambling and pointless story is in order.

The present I got from the posher end of the family was in a squarish bag, about a handspan wide and a handspan high. Out of this came a bundle of tissue paper, with a box three inches high, and a surface area the same as my hand. From this came another bundle, with a thin wallet the depth of a small magazine, and just smaller than the box. From this came what I think is a credit card holder.

I only have four cards (only one of which I use regularly, none of which get to my money), and these fit nicely in my wallet. But that's not my concern really. Put this stonking grat bag next to this card holder, its like the Eiffal Tower in the Grand Canyon.

Still, it's the thought that counts... biggrin.gif

(Why, did you want to know what else I got?)

Yup. And to kick off a great year, I've just cancelled my birthday night out on the grounds that one solitary person could be persuaded to spend more than 5 minutes in my company.

Fuck.

sad.gif Sorry, Guest. *hugs* We'd spend time with you if any of us lived remotely near you, which I'm assuming is not the case despite the fact that I have no idea who you are (Chris?) or where you live. Happy Birthday, though. May you remain in the luxury of two lungs and an appendix for at least one more year.

Happy birthday, Skinned. laugh.gif

Wow. Everyone's getting older, and not one of us is getting younger. dry.gif Ah well. Youth is only for wimbletoads anyway.

Youth sucks, maturity sucks more. What's the fun of wrecking your liver with your mates, when you have a wife, and kids doing likewise? 'Tis why I'm being a drummer.

Sorry, I'm wasted both :yuck: and wub.gif. All I need is a hug and some paracetemol later...
