A masterpieces isn't when you can no longer say, "what else can I add?" but when you can no longer say, "what else can I take away?"

Oh. I think I understand art now.

It's a lot harder to make a truly well-done piece of art with less pieces than to make something realistic. Abstraction is, well, teh awexome.

Word.

It's beautiful, and even if you do use it as a base for something else, please don't get rid of this particular piece altogether.

Don't worry, refining it into something else won't be necessary. Meaning: I can't be arsed.

(Actually, her bottom lip does bother me a little, but not enough to detract from the rest of the piece very much.)

Aye... I like the general shape, but there's some fine tuning needed...

See, it's moments like this that convince me that the world runs on a principle of 'wrongness.' Anyone who makes absolute statements will be proven wrong by some mechanic of the universe.

Right, right... only a Sith deals in absolutes...

Anyway I really like it, but the line between the nose and the lips and the hair line right next to it has this small white gap I find distracting.

Righto.

I like the red. It reminds me of Ookami for some reason.

Okay, okay, let's see... have a look at these and judge which version looks best:

• The Original
• Lips and philtrum-line changed (My preference, I think... )
• Lips and philtrum-line changed, no gap between philtrum and hair

Edit: Oh oh oh, and before I forget again - I'm "selling" these pictures as prints on deviantART, as some of you might have noticed. Not that I would need the money (or actually make any profit with it ), so if you want to print it out yourself or do whatever you want with it, just drop me a note and I can provide you with the desired resolution or aspect ratio or whatever. And since it's all vector, there are no limitations to size whatsoever, so just shout before trying to upscale those JPEGs. (Just mentioning this since one of my fellow students immediately wanted to print it out after seeing it.)

The red lines look to me like cuts unless that is a style I don't know about and the black curves around the lip remind me of a beard and moustache. The nose seems to be a bit curly where the gap is, almost like a hook, maybe to straighten it out a little. I like the rest of it other than the beardy moustache and nose bit at the end.

Wasn't sarcastic, just short-spoken, I don't need to write a novel to agree with you guys.

Just didn't realize that abstract art could be summarized so easily and was a little puzzled for why I didn't notice any sooner, what with my "Moar details 'n colours!"-Frenzy going on.
