What do people think of this film? Always loved H. A. Ray's work myself, especially the astronomy books written for everyone. The CG "rides a bike" book shows how to make a paper hat/boat, as you probably know.

Saw the commercial and it looks cute.

I don't know... there is so much potential for disappointment. But it does look really cute.
"The problem is, you're not a kangaroo... that's a bear... and he's in your pants."
"Maybe artists shouldn't talk about their art."
"Well kids, I guess your father isn't a hermaphrodite."
"Izzy! enough with the rabid smootching!!"

BoxOffice dot com gave it a good review. Prepare for blasphemy though - the Man With The Yellow Hat (voiced by Will Ferrell) is named Ted.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Well, some things don't translate well from book to movie. The character in the novelization of E.T. (possible love interest for Elliot's mom / questionable government agent) was referred to as "keys". He wasn't such a big role to NEED a name in the film, but he probably had a different one.

I'm tired of the commercial already. If the monkey makes all those cute (annoying) noises throughout I couldn't watch. I'd like to take my Godson though. "Monkey", a CG like stuffed animal gift from "Uncle" Chris has been a strong companion for him on the road and asleep.

If only the film were hand drawn. The CG books had that nice painterly style that never came off as today's industry standard (slick) does. That's the real blasphemy. wink.gif

At least it isn't full blown CGI in the Shrek vein.
