No it's not... Pelé!

And you're right Athletics is quite broad, but I do enjoy all of it. Comes from being a former decathlete I suppose, but if I had to order them I'd go track first then field.

I suppose it depends on your definition. I'd say it can certainly rank as a healthy exercise. But as for being a sport, well the only way I could see that being the case is if people decided they wanted to keep score. Not my sort of thing though to be honest.

And before viagra Pelé managed to earn the title of greatest ever player so I figure that still counts when you're asking who the best football player is biggrin.gif

Uh... you seem to have forgotten about the ONLY REAL SPORT, HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A sports forum may be nice, but I really don't think it would fit in at The Night Life myself. I think it would be better to simply have individual thread strictly dedicated to sports talk, like the "Official Football Thread" or something like that rather than start up an entirely new sub-forum wink.gif

Actually, you can. It's called hockey. You can't play hockey in a place with ice, that's the domain of ice hockey. They're two seperage sports.

Or, you know, just running.

I seriously can't tell if you're messing with me, or if you seriously haven't heard of hockey before.

Well, hockey is like ice-hockey, except it's played on grass. It sticks are more curled at the end, and the puck is replaced with a ball. Players run rather then skate, as such the game is a lot less violent.

And the players wear less body armour. Just some shin guards and a mouthguard and that's it.
