It's a Pirate weekend theme dealy, and it's in Charlotte. There will definitely be pictures. I will probably also abuse pirate-speak.

Ah, I went to the Georgia one. You'll love it!

And EM: I'm getting a Wiiiiii!!!!! I finally am getting a console while it's still relatively fresh! tongue.gif I can't wait for SSB to come out, and I REALLY hope they make Rock Band for Wii (they said it was "a definite possibility" or somesuch). And it's gonna be MINE! I'm so tired of "sharing" the Xbox with my brother - it's totally not sharing when I'm not ever allowed to take it to school with me, and so only get to play the few times I'm at home, and only if someone doesn't want to watch tv. So the Wii is just mine, hooray.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

WHOO! I'm getting LASIK!

Or at least, I should be getting LASIK soon. The consultation appointment's either going to be Thanksgiving break or when I go home in December, but it has finally been decided, we're going for the surgery! laugh.gif
Check out my crappy drawings!

That's so awesome! I'm jealous! (Even though I don't really want the surgery due to being squeamish about my eyeballs.) That is so cool, and you'll have to tell us all about it.

The consultation's scheduled for November 20th, and the tentative surgery date is December 27th.

I'm heading out to visit my girlfriend for the week, so I won't be around much, if at all. Everybody have a good week and behave yourselves. tongue.gif

Things I beat:

1. Emu's post count.

Consider my New Year's resolution fulfilled. Now to move on to something more pressing, like I dunno, homework.

This incident--rather, triumph--reminds me of this comic. http://www.whiteninj...s/picksup.shtml

Today is two years to the day since I had to leave town to see my ailing father, and the last day I saw my Louis pup for a whole month. The night before my return, he left his host family and was missing for 27 days.

I know it's old business, But I will Always rejoice and take comfort in that he was watched over, provided for and mercifully brought back to me!

(Dad's doing great btw.)

When the spouse and I got deployed, we had to take our 7 cats to my moms house. They were indoor kitties at the time, and if they got out of her apartment, we would have probably never seen them again.

By some miracle, she managed to contain all seven of them for two months. When everybody else was worried about being shot down by SAMs, I was just worried about my babies back home.

Not losing your pets, or losing them and getting them back, is always something to celebrate.

EM: MY COMPUTER WORKS NOW!!!!! Just got the new motherboard in, and everything works great! Kinda funny that I never needed to get that second video card, as it was a shoddy motherboard all along. But finally, I no longer feel like I wasted $600 on a big chunk of metal that didn't do much more than shock me sometimes.

AAAAAAAND, I got a Wii!!! Hooray! I'm looking forward to the new SSB, and praying and hoping and crossing my fingers that Rock Band gets developed for the Wii. (Played a demo at Best Buy, it totally rocks my, uh, socks.)

So now I'll never be bored again! tongue.gif

Now all I need is an exercise machine. So I can still stay in shape while I be a loser and do nothing but play video games/PC games all day. laugh.gif

Elated Moments: I had a wonderful time with my girlfriend! And I finally got my copy of the PBF book I pre-ordered back over the summer. Don't say I don't support the arts!

Spoon: Woo! Congrats and huzzah! Also, Rock Band is pretty fantastic.

Despondent: I am most happy that your Louis pup was returned to you. It was a very sad time on the forums.
