He doesn't hate you any more or less than he hates everyone else, though.

I'm quite convinced that he's picking on me though, but I'll save it for complaining. Other folks, maintain your happy things.

I am terribly happy because three CDs--all written by Awesomeness incarnate Jim Steinman--arrived from Amazon.com a couple days ago. I listened to all three that night. Bad for Good was definitely the best.

Rock on!

JIM STEINMAN!!!!!

Whew... advanced search algorithms combined with lots of fuzzy logic sure are a tad difficult at times, but nevertheless great fun too, for some strange reason. Never thought I'd say something like that.

So hooray for surpassing my expectations! laugh.gif Wooo!

What's fuzzy logic in that context?
CODE
if (maybe)
{
  doStuff();
}
sometimes
{
  runCode();
}
otherwise
{
  throw SegmentationFault;
}

Something like that?

Yup. It's basically taking some educated guesses at the user's input, tries to predict his intentions/motivations and provides alternative solutions by trying to establish a connection to other contents and aims to improve itself to a certain extent by storing acquired data in some very simple version of a neural net.

Sounds pretty fancy, eh? happy.gif

A nice mix of regular and irregular expressions, I'd say. That stuff can fuck your head big time if you loose the overview - but hey, in that case, you just have another excuse for having yet another tea/water/coffee/whatever-break. biggrin.gif

Another week of drivel over... of saying meaningless things about perspective in lousy fiction to make the teachers happy, of sitting through a class with a hundred students 90% of whom are asleep, eating, or talking to each other, making it hard for the minority of us interested people to know what's going on...

There's too many people going to college these days. None of them give a damn about what they are studying. I go to learn everything, they go to get a sheet of paper saying they graduated.

At least their money goes towards nice buildings for me to sit in.

Welcome to college!

Elated moment: I have a half gallon of skim milk to drink, and I'm going to be crunching some final project code all day with my group. Yay! (I prefer 2% milk, but if I'm drinking a lot of milk, I stick with skim due to the lack of fat.)

Yes, I apologize - the post in the complaining thread was because I ate the pomegranate till it was gone, and then it was gone, and I had no more pomegranate. Fortunately, I have three more in the refrigerator! But they're not exactly mine... But my roommate shares, hooray! biggrin.gif
