Years ago I tried VMware and it is very handy that I can share the USB ports compared to Connectix Virtual PC which I see that Microsoft brought it out. Some months ago they were giving Virtual Server away free but it was rigged full of problems for me.

Mr. Slade: Every person claiming that The Gimp is a good replacement for Photoshop is insulting the linux community tenfold. And I do use it, by the way, just like I'm using Fireworks, but Photoshop simply can't be beaten by those two.

I'll have to get it out to look, it might have been version 7.
When I get down to drawings I can try using that screen light pen but it works smoohtly through terminal services.

If I had a version of Photoshop sitting in my garage or whatever, you would bet I would be out looking for it.

This is the pen I got. Only cost me under $2 second hand:
Shame that there is no side button. Only push down.
It is difficult to get working on newer boards.
I tried Gimp, it looks simple to use but I don't like it when I accidentally click the foreground applications that gets in the way when I am trying to change the tool.

Believe me that pen board it is difficult to get working on newer boards. Once it is setup on a board that doesn't interfere with the settings reserved it is okay. Also a downside is that it does not take well to dark objects.

I would like a screen pen that could go through dark objects with two buttons by the side.

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

I'll read that thread soon. Right now, I'm drinking tea, and trying to relax.

The button on the pen is to draw, no different to the left button on a mouse. It works the same way as a mouse.
The button is on the nib, you push it down on the monitor.
There is a lead adapter that connects to the graphics card output, the monitor plugs into the adapter. All it does is sends dots to the monitor and the pen picks up the dots to determine the position of the pointer.
