Also: Why the hell did no one tell me to switch to separate shampoo and conditioner instead of that 2-in-1 crap? The water here is so hard it may as well be solid, and it was destroying my (already pretty bad-off) hair...but oh dear god after just one shower with the new stuff?

DUDE. My hair feels like actual HAIR! Not straw! That just feels so fucking...luxurious right now!
Check out my crappy drawings!

YES! I am FINALLY done with The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. I'm beginning to suspect that all geniuses are insufferably arrogant. Well, the ones who write autobiographies at least. What with the archaic language, the cultural references I couldn't get, and incredibly dull, self satisfied anecdotes, about three quarters of it was so boring I could hardly stand to keep reading and the rest made no sense AND was boring.

It did, however, provoke some pretty odd dreams involving Steven Colbert, so it's not all bad.

Oh, who am I kidding, yes it is. But it's DONE!

So bad even Steven Colbert dreams don't improve it?

That - that's...I'm having a hard time comprehending that, actually...

My computer works now!! Stupidheads at newegg didn't send me all the drivers; also didn't send a couple of other things so some improvisation was in order. But it works now, except for the faulty video card which I'll have to send back for a replacement before I can start playing Oblivion (this is the first time I've ever had a new computer, let alone one that can play games with heavy graphics and stuff!)

So when I'm not working on school stuff, I'm having fun customizing my compy. smile.gif
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Yay! My wife and I are closing on a new house this afternoon!

2 years ago, I was alone, paying too much rent, and driving a beat up car from 1990. Then my dog Louis was missing for a month and I was as down as could be. Truly Despondent, and my car kept breaking down.

FF to Today; folks I encounter say that I'm "blessed." (That's what I believe anyway).
At any rate, this is a day to rejoice!

I'm also going to see Crowded House in Atlanta next Wednesday! Yippee!

At last I got the Scsi controller to work. Stupid Dell always have to decorate things they don't make. When I see a controller flashed with Dell Poweredge firmware (probably modified from the original) the drives take so long to scan. Third time that has happened when I had flash them back to Megaraids firmware.

There is a problem that didn't happen before in getting stuck on target 0 for a while but sadly I can not use the latest flash due to a problem of freezing on target 1 so I tried the cluster firmware. They said it was for certain boards that have problems from booting with that card. I think there could be a fault with that card but the delay isn't that bad as I got a raid to work with two older drives. Works soooooo smoothly in cached mode with the 128 megabyte memory module.

Can't wait on Monday I hope I can get this raid working.

When the other board arrives I can swap over the processors and that would be quality.
