Probably because May 25th isn't as memorable in association...

EM: If all goes well, I may be able to catch an evening showing of PotC 3.

And I am so taking my towel and Ford Prefect-esque Bag. Fandom clash be damned.
Check out my crappy drawings!

In rejoicing, I shall be forced to embrace Egfu (in a manly way, of course) for his appreciation of Voldo. Only really deep and quality people like Voldo.

Many deprecate him as freaky, messed-up, or disturbingly erotic and nauseating to watch, but I believe Voldo represents the best think to come out of Soul Calibur.

Let us rejoice and celebrate Voldo!

Towel day? I mean, I understand the reference to Hitchhiker's, but I've never heard of towel day before.

Feel so tired and sometimes I loose balance after too many hours to trunking work and untangling new wires. I am making progress and nearly there. Now I can move around the clutter and move on now that I have the wires in place.

There's nothing like rolling around and contorting yourself, and then there's the electric hump! Best move in the entire game. tongue.gif

Elated moment: I just bought all of my own groceries at once, and all of them the real kind and not just frozen foods for the first time ever. Independence, here I come.

EM: I spent a good 3+ hours talking on the phone (an actual phone!) with one of my longest and best friends! And this after being so lie-awake-cryingly depressed about spending my twenty-first completely alone and alienated from any and all of my non-Internet friends!

Now I await nightfall, so I can get good and pissed on the booze I bought myself* this afternoon.

Heheh, I'm all excited over some mundane bit of shopping...I need to cut that out.

*(And they didn't even card me...I was looking forward to being carded...)

You might not be the only one. I was use to spending my birthdays alone. People do visit on other days when they have time off. One thing I do not do is to drink myself to death just because of someone else's rigid view.

I learn't my lesson long ago and it has served me well. If authority found out about the lesson I learned from myself back then they probably would have sent me to prison with a fine (like that is going to do any good) and I'd be spending the rest of my legal days drinking myself to death down the pub to prove a point they were expecting me to prove like most of the people across the road who I hear talk about it.

I have such Scheduling Joy right now!

On a complete and random whim, I decided to check out the classes scheduled for the fall again, and I discovered a new class had been opened that was required for me to take! English 3160 Survey of British Literature I! I like the Brit-Lit courses (for the most part - some stuff I'd prefer to go without...), there was plenty of room open, a non-conflicting time (and that's extraordinarily lucky since there's only one time being offered), and it's taught by one of my favorite professors!

Hooray! I actually feel like the upcoming semester isn't going to suck! laugh.gif

After much questing, I might have a coop which could also turn into a full time job after graduation! So I can graduate on time and move South to be with my girlfriend full time too!

I started driving lessons! Although it was in a simulator. So instead of killing hundreds of innocent spectators, I managed to crash a computer in the other sense too... biggrin.gif

You get to play in a simulator? Lucky! That sounds far less nerve-wracking than being forced onto the road straight away!

"AHH! THAT 18-WHEELER IS COMING AT ME!"
"It's four lanes over with a barrier between us, calm down!"
"THERE'S A TEENAGER IN A GIANT SUV BEHIND ME! AND SHE'S TALKING ON A CELL PHONE! WE'RE GONNA DIE!
"Pull over, I'm driving. For the rest of your life."

And the fear of facing an argument with a patronizer and misleader who will be paid by me.

I like simulators, I'll just get out an old force feeback steering wheel and pedals and find a car game.

Elated moment: I am currently eating a Skippy crunchy peanut butter and Nutella sandwich. It is so incredibly amazing-delicious I feel I have trespassed on some forbidden divinity.
