Yah, so who do you think would be fit to play the joker in Batman Begins 2?

Hmm. Well, I'd look for a less known actor. Joker will definitely be tough to play without offending SOMEONE.

Fans of the 'Jack Nicholson' Joker, the one who's mind is so twisted it's coming back on sanity will be annoyed at you if you're not just like that.

Then there will be fans of the 'Cesar Romero' Joker, who is just totally WILD, but still relatively family friendly, will be annoyed if they get the Joker I hope for.

I classify Joker by those two actors. Yes, there are different DEGREES of Joker, but those are the two simplest examples, and the only I can be bothered to use at the moment.

Yes, although i picture the joker from the cartoon(not THE batman) different from those two. Maybe mark hammil can play the joker, he's already got the voice down.

I think Cicillian Murphay would have been a good joker, too bad he was wasted on the scarecrow.

A lot of names have come up so far, but the most recent news I've heard is that they want Johnny Depp to play the Joker if they can get him.

Now you all know I'm a massive fangirl of both (*insert deafening "EEEeee!" here*), but I can't help but be a bit dubious. Part of me is thinking "Just how much ass would this combination kick?" but the other half just isn't convinced.

...Funny thing, my very first thought was "Isn't he a bit short to be the Joker?"

According to all the information I've read (and just how he looks as well) he's 6'5".

I still can't believe the Joker is 6'5" (Batman officially is 6'2"), as I've never seen him drawn as taller than Batman.

Jack Nicholson is 5'9", Michael Keaton is 5'10" - Christian Bale is 6-foot-even according to himself.

Question I've heard a lot of people asking is not 'Who will play Joker?', it's 'Will Harley be in it?'. The people who made Begins said they would try to shy away from villains already portrayed in movies, something Harley never was. But you can't have a Harley without 'Mistah J', so could that be the reason a Joker card appeared at the end of the last movie?

You know, I think they should hold off on Harley for a while. At least if they plan on having the Joker in more movies (which they really should), but if not, they should go ahead.

...I'm really on the fence with the Harley issue, to be honest.

My main question is how will the Joker be "born"? Will they make him an already criminal thug and give him a name like the orginal movie and animated series, or will they follow The Killing Joke (IhopeIhopeIhope)? Will they use the Red Hood story at all, will they come up with something completely new, or just not go into it at all?

Well, here's what I expect:

Nix on Killing Joke. Sad, but true. They may be putting 'Dark' back in 'Dark Knight', but that would be expecting too much. I have in my head a rough outline of what I expect, not hope, but expect:

Option 1 (Without Harley): It starts where the last movie left off, with Batman going off to catch Joker. After the two trade blows for a while, Joker runs off. He comes into contact with another villain, (One who hasn't gotten the big screen treatment yet), I'm thinking Ventriloquist, or Hatter, or Clayface I, and convinces them to be a villain. (I'll admit, not exactly iconic, but neither was Scarecrow.) The two team up, but instead of causing havoc together (Like Two-Face and Riddler in Batman Forever), they work seperately, but divide the spoils. Eventually, Joker gets tired of his new partner, and shoots him. There is finally a showdown in some dramatic place, don't know where, and Batman seems to win. After a dramatic explosion, Joker seems to be dead. But he really isn't, and there is some evidence otherwise (Possibly a purple gloved hand picking up a 'Bang' gun.) There's also a substory about the trial of Falcone (Replacing Maroni (sp? I think that was the name)) In the substory, Bruce is helping his friend D.A. Dent try the crime boss. (I don't THINK that Falcone actually DIES or is put in jail in the movie. I may be wrong. In that case, simply use Maroni(sp?), who Batman catches at the beginning.) It shows courtroom scenes, and just as Dent picks up the coin, Maroni, or one of his thugs, throws acid on Dent's face. Dent runs out. In the end of the movie, it is revealed to Bruce, in some form of this conversation, that Two-Face/Dent is still around.

Albert: Master Bruce, your friend Harvard (I met a kid named Harvard once. He liked to be called Harvey. I always think Harvey is short for Harvard) has returned.

Bruce: Where?

Albert: I don't think you'll be pleased.

Bruce: Where is he.

Albert: He was seen robbing the Second National Bank yesterday.

It will probably be put better than that, but that's my idea.

Oh, and add a romantic subplot for good measure.

Option 2(Without Harley, but with her introduced): Option A: The romantic subplot is with psychiatrist Dr. Quinnzel. Batman captures Joker. The final scene, instead of Two-Face's robbing the Second national Bank, Joker is captured. Harleen enters Joker's cell.

Random Guard: This is your Psychiatrist, Dr. Quinnzel.
Joker: *insert sarcastic comment here*

B: Just the last bit of the last idea.

C: Harleen is seen watching the news about Joker. She says:

Harleen: I wish I could be like that.

Option 3: With Harley. (Okay, I'll think this one up later. Just give me some time.)

Or, read the more official, less pure speculation gossip here

please note, Otal's ideas are purely speculative, and probably crap.
