I did a low budget gore flick the other day with a couple friends of mine, it's not much, but you might think it's funny.

Check it out on the movie section on my site! Looky here!

Enjoy,

Six Minutes:

I thought it was too easy to get the two fighters confused, especially since they looked pretty much the same. Next time have one wear white and another wear color or black so the audience can keep track of them.

Also, you might want to back up a bit when filming the fights so the audience can see more of what's going on. And maybe don't use so many cuts during fighting, it'll make it easier to keep track of what's going on.

For some strange reason, it had no sound. I think it's my computer's fault though, because Aspirin had no sound either, and I didn't bother watching it with no sound.

I can't really tell you what I thought of Six Minutes because I didn't have sound.

Nice to see you're still alive, by the way. When's your site officially going to be back online?

Random stuff; (all in the best, humourous taste)

1: Ignore FD's advice, good films avoid keeping the same camera shot for too long. Just because you've filmed it, doesn't mean you have to include it. You could probably cut this down to about 2 minutes without losing too much.

2. Unless you're looking for a career as a rap video director, try to keep actors hands out of their trousers as much as posible, otherwise the start of your movie looks like the opening scene from a bad german porn flick.

3. Who the fuck is that guy in the background in the stabbing scene, for that matter, who's the hobo past out on the steps by the door?

Sorry, I've been hanging out at the agony booth too much.

Not sure what to tell you on the no sound part, but there is sound. Just you have to crank your speakers.

It's actually better to make more camera cuts during fighting scenes, it build action and tension. Also, when you're shooting in a small apartment like the one I was shooting in, it's hard to get wide shots.

Also, the guy sitting in the chair and laying on the porch would be Erik Chapman. Erik was laying on the porch so he could open the screen door from the bottom. And I accedently caught him in the stabbing scene, I wasn't paying attention there.

I'm working a few projects as of right now, when they're done, the site's going to be done.

Thanks for the opinions guys.

Strange
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

The link seemed to be north of the border when I checked, just go to http://www.idioticinc.com/ then click on the clips option.

or just be clicking your mouse here.

Apologies Shawnathan for my earlier post, looking back it came off more agressive than I intended. The late night was probably to blame. Also, the existance of rum is not to be blamed, it was innocent in the entire affair.

No harm done I hope smile.gif

As for the camera angles. The best trick with amateur film making is to have 2 cameramen (and 2 cameras of course), that way you can cut the shots better, and eliminate 'accidental walk-ons' with ease.

To be honest, I had no idea what that was about.

The proper link is this. I thought your movies were silly and interesting, but just a little too wanton for my taste.

Edit: Yay for mockumentaries! And I can't believe in the possibility of God with the amount of spelling and syntax errors strewn across your pages and comics. They make my eyes bleed. I mean you no offense, my good Shawnathan. My brain can't take stuff like that due to language OCD. And Jesus needs to kick more heads off.

Spelling errors display humanity, and like all mistakes are a natural part of the creative process. When you're in a rush to get good dialogue to the page, you're not concerned with the spelling.

Yeah, those movies pretty much blow. Not that I'm trying to brag, if I look at the movies in order (order of creation), I can tell that I'm getting a little better each time. If you're not going to college, you have to rely on yourself, learn from your mistakes and move on. I'll keep everyone informed on what I do with other clips (or if you want to call them short films).

I thought about having multiple camera angles with multiple cameras before Laughlyn, but I'm on a extremely tight budget when it comes to those "things". I also realize that the clips don't have a plot usually, that might be because I thought up the story as I went. For example, I would be sitting on the shitter, and suddenly I would come up with a plot as shitty as what I'm dropping off in the toilet. I'd get up and call a few random friends, with the open of the conversation usually consisting of "Wanna make a movie?".

My spelling sucks very bad. It has come to my attention that I can't muster out a sentence with correct grammar without Word Perfect or Google spell check. So, most likely, you'll probably even run across a few grammar mistakes in this post.

Thanks for all of your opinions guys, it helps out alot.
