If 5days was made into a movie.. Pick actors you think would fit.

And my half hour time is accurate, as I went through the game as quickly as I could, and I can't get a good time on ANYTHING. I've been trying to get a less than five hours time on Resident Evil since 1996.

Sure. That's what movies are all about. Like I said, there's enough material provided. You can easily fill a whole movie with that.
Not at all. They would have to be as separated as the games are, for obvious reasons. 5 Days a Stranger has an ending. A very good one. It's what makes a story complete. Us feeble humans are extremely moved by such endings. Now imagine what would happen if we simply cut that scene out and moved right along to the intro of 7 Days a Skeptic. Bugger. Bugger bugger bugger. The audience wouldn't stop puking.
Err... right, whatever. I was going to say something like "dude, you've got too much sparetime", but since you're so eager on not to waste your time and with me being fairly drunk at this very moment, I think I'll just say this: "Whoa. Is it just me or are these frikkin' lines not makin' any sense at all?"

Yeah, I'm wrong. Played through 5days again, not skipping anything, and letting text be completely spoken out as if it was voice acted, and it actually seemed like the perfect movie script.
I am wrong, and ye have proved me so, albeit drunkenly. I take my hat off to you, or rather I would if I was wearing one.
And about the subject of stringing 5days together with 7days, it might not work as well as I thought it would, as you'd need to show what Trilby did to set up 7days to have any sense of cohesion, which sort of ruins the surprise in finding out how Mr. Welder got into space in the first place.

Here are my choices:
Director: Tim Burton (if we got a good budget) or Uwe Boll (otherwise)
Actors:
- Trilby: Ashton Kutcher
- Simone Taylor: Kim Basinger
- The Chahals: Morgan Freeman
- Siobhan Omalley: Vinessa Shaw
- Lenkmann: Wayne Knight
- Dr. Somerset, the fake: Jeff Goldblum
- Dr. Taylor: William Lee Scott
- The Tall Man: Richard Kiel (one problem: he is not thin)
Soundtracks:
- Trilby theme: "I'm going slightly mad" (old music, I don't know the name of the singer)
- Fake Somerset theme: ? (it has to be a slow, techno music)
- The DeFoe Manor theme: ? (it has to be a piano haunting music)
- Mephistopheles theme: "The Ghost of You" (My chemical romance)
- The Clanbronwyn Hotel theme: "What if" (Creed)
- The Welder theme: "My Plague" (Slipknot)
- The Tall Man theme: "Walk Without Limbs" (Virgin Black)
Rating: Mature (violence, blood, mutilations, suspense, gore)

Hmmm... you know, maybe if we all pitch in, we could make this movie... yeah, a low-budget European expressionism film... hey, the Blair Witch project was made with 50.000 dollars... We'll just need money for ketchup, we'll use ourselves as actors, the sets will need some woodwork and such though, but that can't be very expensive, we'd just everything from our local grocery store and handyman shop, and, the "piece de resistance", Yahtzee as the writer and director! Then, we'd sign it in at Cannes, get the Palm d'or, then the Oscar comittee will see us and we'll get at least some nominations! Hehe... Of course, for 7DAS, we'd get more funding, 'cause 5DAS was a hit! And then, Trilby's Notes... Dreaming is fun, but futile, unfortunately... we'll just have to make it a "virtual movie"...
Right, umm... there was something I read a little while ago about a certain Trilby bio... I never saw any official Trilby bio! Can anyone post it or point me in the right direction?

If it's the second option, what is the problem about him?
I have to say that my first option was Pierce Brosnan, because I believe Yahtzee made Trilby from Thomas Crown of The Thomas Crown Affair. But he is too old.
Queen, queen... queen, of course!
*runs, looks for an old cd, takes the cd, puts the cd on the cd drive, skips the tracks one by one until hear the music*
Yeah, it's this one. I'm going slight mad is its name.

- Trilby: Ashton Kutcher
My problem with this guy, apart from the fact that, judging by his looks and attitude, his character is 100% irreconcilable with Trilby (I mean, he's more like the excitable puppydog person than the charismatic, silent type) is that I think he also looks like a twat. Don't ask me why. I know it's a great argument.
- Simone Taylor: Kim Basinger
Yeah, well I'm assuming you're just fantasising about this whole thing, and even then, I should think that the role of the British people should be played by British people.
- The Chahals: Morgan Freeman
Perhaps the captain, but not the professor. Although even the captain wasn't that elite soldier/tough PI-type Morgan Freeman usually plays.
- Siobhan Omalley: Vinessa Shaw
Okay, I guess (judging by her looks), I really don't know her that much.
- Lenkmann: Wayne Knight
Nah. For his role you'd need a person who grins and eats less. This guy would be a bad choice.
- Dr. Somerset, the fake: Jeff Goldblum
Not a bad choice, judging by how he performed in The Fly...
- Dr. Taylor: William Lee Scott
Don't know him at all.
- The Tall Man: Richard Kiel (one problem: he is not thin)
Why him? Why not anyone else?

Bullshit, apart from the fact that it'd cost an arm and a leg to pay for the rights of most of these songs, they'd really ruin the atmosphere. It'd be a horror-thriller, not a musical, for chrissakes. I think m0ds' songs would be perfectly fine in a refined, orchestrated version.

Those are my nominations at any rate. I would love to see Norrington as Trilby.

Have you seen him in Butterfly Effect? He was calculating, silent and showed some fear faces I would like to see in Trilby after his nightmares. And he has the right age, he's white, thin, has long and black hair, so he does look like Trilby. To contest that last point you would have to show us an official high resolution picture of the gentleman thief, a thing that was never published.
Respecting your opinion, I must say that the only character we can be sure to be british is Trilby, and it is because Yahtzee said so. Simone could be an american working in England.
Perhaps the captain, but not the professor. Although even the captain wasn't that elite soldier/tough PI-type Morgan Freeman usually plays.
I said Morgan Freeman, not Samuel L. Jackson. But thinking about this, Samuel L.J. could really be the captain.
Nah. For his role you'd need a person who grins and eats less.
Hey! Lenkmann is fat. And Wayne can play a diabolic villain, haven't you seen him in Jurassic Park?
Why him? Why not anyone else?
Have you readed about his tallness? He played Jaws in 007 - James Bond against the rocket of death. But I have a better choice now.
Of course it is bullshit.

[edit]
No forget that, you're not talking about the guy I was thinking off. Bob Hoskins would do a pretty good Lenkmann however.
[edit ends here]
As for Trilby, I kinda agree with you on Ashton Kutcher, Trilby looks a bit like Kutcher when he has long hairs. And TN suddently game Trilby a Teeny McAngsty look, the same Kutcher had in The Butterfly Effect. The problem with the Kutcher choice reside in the acting side, not the look 'cause the look fit IMO.
For the captain, I think Samuel L Jackson would fit, and possibly even more when the captain turn zombie.
For Abed Chahal, it's very hard for me to imagine Morgan Freeman, for one, I don't think I even saw him angry and frustrated for something like jealousy. Most of the time when Freeman's character is angry, his character is always dead right on the issue debated and you usually team with his character's side defaultly. Plus, I've never seen one of Freeman's character in a romantic situation, in fact I read somewhere that in all his career, he never did a kiss scene, so I can't really imagine him as Abed when there's this whole "Abed and Siohban being lovers" innuendo in TN. He's be perfect for Abed if Abed was Siohban grandpa or some sort of paternal figure, but not lovers. He has the look, the acting, but since I've never seen him in romantic role, I can't imagine him personally. I could imagine Denzel Washington for both roles however, but maybe he's not old enough to play Abed.
For Dr Taylor, I'd see very well Giovanni Ribisi, with blond hair, like he had in the Flight of the Phoenix remake. He seems to have an "unsure of himself" look naturally. I can see him as a sneaky, twisted, cold blooded killer and I can imagine him when Adam repent at the end.
For Malcolm Somerset, I'd say Matt Damon since he already did the Talented Mister Ripley. But I think it would have the same feel as asking Jason Statham to play 47 in a Hitman movie after he did Crank and the Transporter 1 & 2. But then again, that kind of thing didn't stop Al Pacino and Robert De Niro to play in countless of mafia movies.
