Splendid. Now everything left to achieve in life is to get rid of that bubblegum under my shoe.

Sure it was nice, but 53kb images can be a little problem for those who possess-a-low-bandwith/can't-be-arsed/both.

Why don't you use this one instead? Only 8kb in size, self-lubricating and suited for usage as an avatar- or signature-image.

It certainly is better than that... umm... eh... "thing" which is now residing in your signature - although it might be just my browser's fault.

Try reducing a 350x350 image to 64x64 whilst maintaining a good readability, then you'll know what happened.

But well, since it's been christmas and the atmosphere's so nice and I've got nothing else to do with my spare time and my imaginary girlfriend is ringing the bell downstairs for about three hours now - there you go:

Behold, it's the ultra-special, self-lubricating, self-repairing, simply downscaled and bicubic sharpened version, reduced to a minimum of 64x64 pixels in size, market leading in over sixhundred countries and I don't know what else -

http://img417.images...6762/nm57ec.gif

I'm afraid that this time it won't be useable as an avatar-image in this 'ere forum, as it's 12kb file size is slightly above the maxium allowed size for those lovely little pictures, but well - I guess you didn't mean to use it as such in the first place. Which leads me to the thought... why the hell did I reduce it to meet avatar-image specifications?

Boredom? Besides, he still can use it as an avatar, since he can just host it off of Imageshack, and its impossible to make a picture that's under teh size limit anyway. I've tried.

Your sig is still too big. You might think all those little bells and whistles are delightful and pithy but it clutters up the thread and interferes with reading.

As a general rule, if your sig is consistently longer than the actual content of your post, it's too large.

I didn't think there was actually one such thing as a professorship regarding forums and everything that surrounds it, but since it makes sense, I must say: Whoa. I'm amazed.

Guess that means over half of Chefelf.com Night Life's users will have to change their signatures now.

Signatures should always be kept short and inoffensive, it's not that hard to do. And as for the other picture, it's clearly a representation of ethane, or a similar molecule. Not so sure about the colour scheme though.

Eh, I knew that of course, too. But now the only question left is... what kind of forum chooses a symbol of taken virginity as its logo?
