Greetings, fellow Chefelfers!
Master Richard had quite a literal blast yesterday, compliments of Harvey Phillips, whose namesake Foundation pulled off another delightful TubaChristmas concert under the Rockefeller Center tree. Over 345 tuba, sousaphone and euphonium players took part; alas, there were no photos I could find in this morning's printed media! Drat!
Luckily, the afternoon wasn't a total loss. The lad spent a few delightful moments with Santa at the Marc Jacob shoe store in the West Village, at the core of Bleecker Street. Would that he were still there this week!
But that matters not --- for the moment, as I am planning a one-on-one interview with the Kringlemeister, to be posted exclusively in the ol' Dark Chambers! I'm looking forward to it; I know it'll be quite a conversation!
In case you were wondering about why I have titled this post "Racing Against the Light," that's what I now find myself doing these days, the light in question belonging to the setting sun. I'm always having to return to the humble hovel before dark, and that's never easy, you know, this being the Winter Solstice.
Ah, me. A Dragonmaster's work is never done!
