Not to be picky, but I don't think its Buddha that does all the legwork for the religion, he's just like Jesus with less hair and perhaps more chins...

There is also the problem that the Budha was an athesist... not to mention that he didn't believe in heaven or hell...

I heard about Budha reaching nirvana, coming back and helping others to reach it as well, but resurrection is a little bit out of his league, if you ask me... that is, of course, if he didn't jump into that big karma-pool as some kind of religious-über-virus to control dharma or samsara or whatever it was.
