This fact hasn't been mentioned several times.

Not so difficult to foretell that ending, can it be similiar to any fruit that has gone bad, perhaps beyond that now.
The question is, on that day will I be here to see it?

See how perfectly balanced this planet is? You change something slightly and bam, things die. It's fragile.
And we've changed things more than slightly. We've gone hog wild. We've build mighty civilizations that thrive on resources that are the prime cause to the downfall of our planet.
You stop the production of such destructive agents, and the ecomony collapses. You continue on with this lifestly, and the world collapses.
IT's the ultimate catch 22. Nothing is more ironic. Either way we are screwed. Economy is vital, the earth is vital. Pandering to one will kill the other.
It's really depressing.

Appears that people put most of their values in money so they have less responsibility to think about. I see that economics is exploited in these ways as well as the cheapening of products such as throw away equipment. Less development in protecting trees and land, spraying the farms with their form of "protection", using incorrect foods such as cow feed and battery farming. Some day the chemicals could combine in the air, slightly happening with GM foods. I think an end for most could be with the food.
I'd say "Economising at the cost of the Earth"

Until it was brought back. Only realised though, just happened to post on new posts.
Did not know about a time limit to threads based on the responses.

*Smacks Otal upside the head for being a pompous jerk*
Now look what you made me do Otal. I had to resort to astericks.
Don't make me do it again.
Please.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto
Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

If you have something legitimate to add to an old topic, there's no reason why you shouldn't feel inclined to do so. There's no time limit or crap like that.
Jordan: I say screw the economy. Us living is more important than pieces of paper that only mean something because we say they do. We could go back to the barter system! But things die all the time. We don't live in stasis. It's more of a dynamic equilibrium. Some things go up, others go down, overall it stays the same. That's not an excuse to go around actively killing things and ruining the earth, of course.

What in God's name are you talking about sir?
On a note that actually does make sense, it's fucking January and I'm in the Northern hemisphere. The temperature here is now routinely above 50 during the day. We have gotten perhaps 3 inches of snow all year. Plants are begining to sprout because they think it's spring. It seems as if winter is over. In January. Something terrible is happening to this planet.
The entire world is doing something about it. Contrary to what Jordan says it's not a matter of "either we all go poor or the planet breaks" that's just something the corporations are pushing. The economy can be stable and the earth can be saved, it's not an either or. If you save the earth, the economy will take a dip due to the cutting of emissions but eventually bounce back. If you don't save the world there will not BE an economy anymore.
Every other industrialized nation on earth has taken steps to curb emissions. Britain has cut CO2 by over 10 percent for example. Only the murderous criminal George Bush chooses to continue plodding full speed on a course towards destruction. His arguments are foul lies. If Britain can cut their emissions the US can do it as well in an economicly viable way, but because he is owned by oil companies and big polluters he refuses to even acknowledge this possibility and fills people like Jordan's minds with "Sure we could stop the world from drowning, but you wouldn't have as much money."
