I was (re)watching ESB DVD the other day, and got puzzled on how Luke found Bespin so easily, The only information he had was is own image of a "city in the clouds" as he told Yoda, and with Thousands of star systems in the galaxy, surely there are more cities above gas planets.

Anybody ever think of this?
Should be regarded as plot hole?

Theres a million things in Star Wars like this. You've just got to swallow it.

Its funny how people can ignore dumb stuff like this in the OT and yet jump all over much more minor things in the PT, so i'm glad you brought it up.

I would love it if Chefelf would come up with 100 reasons to hate.... lists for the OT. God, using the criteria he set down in his PT lists, I could probably come up with 500 reasons to 'hate' ANH.

Do it, and then you'll get the same "love mail" as Chef does....

As for Luke knowing where Bespin is.... said he saw a city in the clouds. Probably picked up a name for it, too. I'm sure he has the same records as the MF does, so bing-bang-boom, he's got it.

But, you're right Jariten, we (I) do tend to pick on the PT's for details, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander, I guess...

I'll believe it when I see it. The funny thing is, all or most won't even bother me in the least bit.

Actually, I'm sure that they would be good for a chuckle. I like laughing about things that I enjoy.
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

- Anakin inconsistency in all PT ("What have I done" to "I'll do anything you ask" in 2 seconds)
- Padme Dying for no reason other then a "broken heart" after deliviring babies
- C3PO being built by Anakin
- Jar Jar
- Yoda's "Forced" exile for no apparent reason
- Clone troppers easily beating Jedi's except if a Jedi needs to be alive in the next movies
- Palpitine against 4 jedi Masters kills 3 of them in less then 2 seconds
- R2 "powers" where was the ability to jump and fly in the OT? oh I see, no CGI back then.
- Midclorians
- The Chosen One Profecy, which serve nothing to the story and still there are teories of what does it mean
- Anakin "was a good Friend" , where is this in the new movies?

This are not nitpicks! this are insults to a once respected story.

no wind in the balcony, use of Bobba Fett father as a clone and stuff like that are nitpicks and exist in every single movie.

Happy Christmas!

no no need for that, my point was just that, you can nitpick any movie, but in bad movies faults can be pointed more than nitpicks

what defines a bad movie is up to each person. But if a person who does not like the movie makes some points about it, it does not necessarily mean they are nitpicks, they can be or not.

I don't know where I read somewhere in here the girlfriend analogy, if you like her, you like her even if she has some bad points, if you don't like her, you're better of away from her and her bad points only make her worst.

Well considering that Vader was torturing Han to lead Luke there, he probably did some sort of suble suggesting or something combined with the Han torturing and what have you, there you go.

How did Luke find it?

I dunno...seems to me it wouldnt be very hard to deduce Cloud City from "City in the clouds"

great point, Giff.

Luke: "I saw.. I saw a city in the clouds."
Yoda: "Mmm. Friends you have there.
Luke: "They are in pain."
Yoda: "It is the future you see."
Luke: "the 'future so I need to leave NOW in order to get there in time, future' or the 'future where I need artoo to google map me to some unspecific cloud city' future?"
Yoda: "I've got your ship warming up."

Well said.

You forgot Threepios head landing on the other robots and both still being functional after and vice versa. I suppose the wires just sort of re-connected - in both cases. Bravo Lucas.

oh, that was just ridiculous. Maybe, just MAYbe if Darth/Annie had invented the droid army as well as 3PO that would be plausible. And Artoo's jetboots were the movie equivalent of getting an "extra man" on a video game.

Oooh! Excellent point! Han knows the coordinates/name...Why else would he need to torture him, right?

"They never even asked me any questions..."

Hah!

funny?

errors and ommisions are like a rogue hair in your meal.

if it's a fresh lobster you paid $3.00 for you're less likley to complain about it than you would if it were a bandaid you found in an egg mcmuffin you paid $15.00 for.
