I've been addicted to this game for about two weeks now. It's simply great. All the seven classes are balanced pretty well, so nobody can play like Halo and dominate the field, though I can wipe out up to five guys at once with the shotgun before I die.

I mostly play as Anti-tank...

Sorry, not a fan of first person shooters in general, and I esspecially hate the 'single player is just a big multiplayer game against the computer' idea they have running there.

The only reason they put that in there is so that people who have shitty internet connection and get BF2 as a present can enjoy it. Really, the single player is nothing compared to the multiplayer.

Meyh, seems the same as all the games that went before it that I didn't like. To be honest, I'm not a fan of multiplayer. I want a good story and characterisation, my friends want to kill stuff. Doesn't work out.

Well, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will blow it out of the water. Even the stuff that they have released about the game already is quite impressive, and there's still over 3 months untill its out. Although there are plently of games out now with a good storyline, and limitted mindless killing. Part of the reason why I hate Counter-Strike is that there is totally no storyline whatsoever. You basically just have 2 teams one with a bomb and one with a pair of plyers, and either murder everyone or blow some random circle up. Atleast with Enemy Territory (The online-only sequel to RTCW, not Quake Wars) the missions were/are alot more challenging.

I'm probably a little late for this reply (probably), but I have to say that I own Battlefield 2. The multiplayers is so addictive, and I also like the campaign.

Anyways, do you own it for the PC or for a console?

PC. I saw some of the console play in action, and it sucks, mainly because enemies have a little logo above their heads. It ruins it, plus console controls suck fot FPS.

Campaign's pretty bad in BF2, the bots are stupid and their aim sucks. And you can't use your unlocks.
