i wonder...( currently in an intoxicated state ) as mention here before is george lucas the same man today as in 1977...

or is he a "clone" or a victim of say the mk ultra mind control system....

speilberg stated that in the 1970s the usa govt contacted him about " classified material" and even said after close encounters that he was so-called "sworn to secertecy"....about the subject of "ets"...

in fact due to hype in regards to "et" ( 1982 ) carpenters "the thing" did poorly at the box office....the public it seemed wanted a warm and fuzzy alien not the one who would terrorize and kill so horrficly as "the thing"....maybe carpenter is more on target of what "aliens" really have in mind for us humans....see the giants of genesis chap 6 are returing....but thats another story...

anyway....the movies i mention in the topic discussion should be known to most people , however electra glide in blue i just seen...."robert blake" plays a motorcycle cop out to solve a murder i suggest you view the movie if you havent seen it or view it again if you have as well as vanising point....of course we know thx 1138 was lucas but thats currently not the point ,these movies were made in the early seventies and on low budget...yet in retrospect these are someof the best flims of the last quater of the 20th century,,,,proving that a 100 million dollars is not needed to make a movie.....

so what has happen....lucas came from this period and should have seen these movies and others....although not widely known per-say still movies like the two mention and ones like say the wild bunch and even low low budget flims like say a "childern shouldnt play with dead things" or "carzy larry / dirty mary" "white line fever" ( hey made for 1.8 million yet raked in 40 million plus in 1975 dollars and shot in 3 weeks in 1975 ) these movies should have spoke teraquads of information to lucas....

i think we saw that in the original 1977 SW ....and 90 percent in empire but after 1983....well the franchise is dead from the 1977 brackett view point...yet lucas wants to keep altering the original and insert this or that...hes just as bad as the old soviet union and china that kept re-writting the history books and made it a crime to have a real time-line...

if anything for some reason i think lucas is not the "true" lucas of the classic period....either by himself slipping more and more into a ego-based trip or a change agent of the govt ( as i believe spielberg is after close encounters and et ) and being control in some manner ...either way i think lucas is now obsolete...ILM will continue as a business as well as its spin offs...however i think the SW pull is gone forever....its mission done...i doubt that in a say 40 year period we will see a revial of the movies...once movie goers know about all the re-edits ect you will never ever have the draw of say the summer of 1977....maybe for other sci-fi franchise ( as seen with battlestar galactica ) you will see this but not SW....

maybe lucas under control of "the man" on purpose short-circut SW....to turn off the real thinking people....and de-rail the appeal of SW....and not be a part of the new world order with gia worship and "GOD" reduce to a mere "force"....like the war prisoner blinking out SOS with his eyelids maybe this 1983 ewoks and beyond was lucas blinking an SOS...i for one threw all my SW crap away after the premier of ROTJ....and felt ripped off....minus 1999 phantom menance that i paid for i have not spent one dime on SW merchandise...and never will...

something is wrong here....franchises are very carefully crafted for maxium money making long term produce....we dont see that here....

well input please....that 12 percent russian beer and ambient is knocking me out nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bye

Two of my post have a couple of ideas on Lucas, I will just re state them here.

The prequel team is a group of youngsters who grew up worshiping Lucas and can't see past their own cubicles, they are enraptured to be making Star Wars...They wouldn't dare argue a point or disagree with their Holy Leader.

The crew members that worked on the original trilogy had no clue what they were getting into, and just loved their work and did their best...However, those that remained to work on the Prequels, have over the years become Lucas' lapdogs and "yes men" contributing to nothing but Lucas' now 20+ year ego.

Lucas hadn't made a movie for years prior to the prequels, (he had made a comedy "american grafitti" just prior to Star Wars), SO all his creative phlegm, fueled by having his fingers in hundreds of movies through ILM, but no outlet of his own..ALL SPEWED OUT all over episode one.
Ep2 and Ep3 got a little better, but were now trapped into the ideas set forth in Crapisode One.

And someone who knows more than me help me here..Did he even hire a "continuity team" or was he even really aware of the danger of making 3 films that are suppossed to set up 3 already released ones?

All in all, he should have made a team to help him write these terrors. I know he could afford it, but he thought he was 'just that good' I guess..

Why do you only come out of the woodwork once every 4 months or so? Are you on some kind of lunar cycle?
