I am conservative but I definitely do not agree with President Bush. His huge spending and control issues are driving me insane. He thinks that kids learn more by testing them not teaching them. And then he goes around throwing billions of dollars at every problem, that is NOT how conservative people work.

Getting to the above question I like Senator John McCain. His views are not too far left or too far right. He knows what it is actually like to be in a war unlike some people...*cough...Bush...cough..cough* sorry had somethin' stuck in my throat. Anywho I am curious to see who you think would make a good president and why.
OH NO!!!

You know, it's hard to take a thread with so many question marks in the title seriously.

Question marks: I could tone them down, but only at the request of the author of the thread.

My thoughts: I think the best president is no president. Barring anarchism, I feel it would be best to not have one man with the power to counter a large legislative body and an entire court system.

And Bush isn't throwing lots of money away to solve problems, he's throwing it away on defense budgets and pseudo-social programs designed to line the pockets of the wealthy with more money.

Why me? Because anyone who wants to be a president doesn't deserve to be. I do not want to be president, so therefore should be.

I want to live in a hunter-gatherer society. It's a pretty perfect government- the people in power get the least, and end up showing off as hard as they can to make people like them while the rest of the group sits back and laughs... Most of the time, it seems a pretty good arrangement. Except that it would be pretty hard to get people to do that, I fear.

oh sorry...

John Saxon's really cool and he was 'Roper' in enter the dragon...
Ronald Regan never did a film with Bruce Lee and you all let HIM become president.

Michael Berryman raises wolves in his spare time... and isn't married to Anti-music biggot Tipper Gore!

Henry Rollins.... it's Hank man, come on! you wish you were as fit!!!

Roberto, as secretary for war... at this point would it make much difference?

there you go...

Geena Davis, of course.

The Hollywood Show with David Spade on Comedy Central just had a report on Geena and her show, Commander in Chief. With Oprah calling her "Madam President" and playing make believe- lauded with the title, carried with unearned smugness.
So THS had one of those slam tv political commercials done up that showed her early modeling gigs with other salaciousness from her illustrious career. "Geena Davis wasted 75 million dollars on 'Cutthroat Island.'"

at the end it showed it was paid by 24's Black President, Dennis Haysbert.

Howard Dean HOW! WARD! DEAN!

He's for lifting the blockade on Cuba, he opposed the aggression against Iraq, and he's proud of being a democrat unlike most of the wussies in the party. He's someone who's actually left wing unlike all the watered down bush lites.

Failing that, and assuming that the neo cons continue to gain power and crush civil liberties, I would certainly like to take power when I overthrow the dictatorship that evolves. My vice president would likely be Slade, my minister of defense would be Blake, my foreign minister... hmmmmm... I suppose I'd have to pick the secretary of interior and foreign minister out of my revolutionary command.

Conservatives cut jobs. Liberals steal money.

I would make a terrible president. I can barely manage my own life let alone a country.
