I was unaware that homosexuality was a religion...
Never said it was. Creating a constiututional ammendment to define marriage based on religious tradition, and therefore to ban homosexual marriage, is an attempt to establish a legal ruling using religion and nothing else as backing (oh yes, "tradition," don't tell me I missed it).
How you got from that that homosexuality might be a religion I don't know. Perhaps you also thought I was suggesting that bartending was religion when I mentioned how Christian temperance lobbies created the 18th ammendment?

Homosexualism is the dominant religion in my state. It's now illegal to have conventional sex without at least two different orifices being involved, and heterosexual marriage is outlawed. It kind of sucks.
Pun intended, I hope.
