Pavement, eh? I only have one major problem with Pavement. They made it cool for bands to suck and not care about the fact that they suck. Pavement had that whole "slacker" vibe that was supposed to make them so cool, but all it did was make it acceptable for bands to knowingly release shitty music and then not care about the fact that they released shitty music. So now, someone can go out, make some crappy alternative rock album and then say "Oh well we don't care about what people say. We're just doing it for the music, man" and everyone will go fucking apeshit for them.

God, are you people even trying?
Smashing Pumpkins
Sooner or later, someone's going to tell Billy Corgan that he can't sing. Hopefully sooner than later. The problem facing whoever tells him, however, will be telling him loud enough that he can hear with his head that far up his ass.

Bloodhound Gang
There's nothing I can say to make fun of this band. They do a pretty good job of that on their own.

You guys are seriously making this too easy.

Pink Floyd piss me off for two major reasons. One, they didn't get the hint and break up before they started sucking worse than they did at first. "The Division Bell" is laughably bad, at the very best. Two, their stage shows make me sick. No one needs a live set that extravagant. I would like to personally take several bricks from their "The Wall" shows and shove them one by one up each of their self-righteous asses until they're all coughing up pebbles. I know that made no sense, but it doesn't have to. Pink Floyd piss me off sometimes.

Oh, and I hate how dumb stoner fratboys thing that "the Floyd" is so amazing and mind-expanding. No they're not. You're dumb.

Queens Of The Stone Age
I don't like it when bands don't have a solid line up. This is basically a Josh Homme solo project these days, and it shows. "Lullabies To Paralyze" at least got the "lullabies" part right. Without Nick Oliveri there to shake things up, QOTSA is losing its edge and turning into another uninteresting hard rock band.

Red Hot Chili Peppers
They have two songs. The funky party song, and the mopey ballad. And they all use the same vocal pattern.

The Who
I guess I could make a child porn joke here, but that's nothing compared to the disgust that I felt when I heard that Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend were still working together, despite the death of their rhythm section. Class act, boys.

Reba?
I'm assuming that you're referring to Reba McEntire, in which case I'm not even acknowledging your existence from here on out. What part of "You guys are seriously making this too easy." did you not get?

Here we are, our departed friend Reader offered some suggestions remotely and seems to actually get what he's supposed to do here:

Sonic Youth
I like Sonic Youth and all, but Kim Gordon's voice makes me want to kill someone. Sooner or later, she's going to actually sit and listen to a Sonic Youth record and go "What the hell? That's my voice?" and then rip her vocal cords out with a ruler.

Bjork
Okay, Bjork. We get it. You're weird. You can stop with the stupid masks, and the stupid hair, and the horrifying clothes, and the "unique" production. You know, "Medulla" was not that amazing. It was alright (aside from the parts that were Mike Patton-ed to death, I mean okay he did an album of all-vocal noise, whoop-de-doo), but it wasn't "OMG BJORK IS SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!1111!!" amazing. Just because the woman is completely fucking batshit loco doesn't mean every single piece of music she produces is fucking gold. One word: "Telegram". Yeah. That album sucks, doesn't it? Yes it does. Sure it's remixes, but they're really bad remixes. Any self-respecting artist wouldn't allow the rape and mangling of their work like that.

Talking Heads
I hate David Byrne. There, I said it.

Boredoms
"Hey, let's make people think the Japanese are even more fucked up than they already do!"
"Yay!"
*click, snap, buzz, squeal, series of unintelligible screams, splat*
"GENIUS!"

Lightning Bolt
Take the microphone out of your mouth, okay? I like the bass/drums thing. It's a cool sound, if you like blowing people's faces apart with your sub woofer (which I do), but I want to hear the vocals, believe it or not. Mostly because, based on your fucked up song titles, I want to know what kind of fucked up shit you're screeching about.

Mouse On Mars
*boop boop beep beep boop boop boop bop beep bleep boop squeal weird vocal thing boop*
GENIUS!

Nirvana
Listen to that boxed set that they put out last year. Now try to tell me that he doesn't sound like some clueless college student who found a tape recorder and an acoustic guitar in his dad's box of yard sale material. Kurt Cobain may've done some good as a songwriter, but he was generally useless as a singer and as a guitar player.

Yes! Hecc no longer acknowledges my existence, and I am therefore no longer liable to get sarcastic comments made at me.

The Mamas And The Papas
There was a period where I really tried to like these peace-mongering hippy freaks, but that period is long dead. Fine, so they had pretty vocal harmonies. A lot of fucking bands did in the 60s, and most of the other ones did it much better. I suppose there isn't anything horribly wrong with the Mamas And The Papas, there's just nothing that interesting about them. They suck purely on the basis that they're boring.

Nick Cave
I don't mind Nick Cave, but let's face it, his voice grates on your nerves after about fifteen minutes. He sounds like he's got something stuck in his throat. That and there was a period there when he was really heavily into drugs where his music, and his existence in general, just made absolutely no sense.

Hypoid
I've never listened to anything by Hypoid. There's a good reason for this: I really, really dislike industrial music. I own one KMFDM record, and that's it. And the only reason I have it is because I dig that song that they used to play during the Manga Entertainment promos at the beginning of their VHS tapes.
