*sigh* What would Star Wars be without beutal dismemberment. For instance the scene of Episode IV: A New Hope, Obi-Wan cut that things arm off in the cantina. And i think it was for no apparent reason. I mean its not like you can understand him for all we know he could have been saying: Awww man i need to piss, these drinks go right through me.

In Episode two Anakin starts off his series of dismemberment by losin an arm. Well you might not think that to be all that bad because Anakin is a master amchine builder and just builds another arm......but his unluckiness continues.....

In Episod III, am I the only one who realized how severely injured Anakin was. I mean force or no force he's a pretty tough dude for surviving that. I mean with his legs and an arm cut off, George Lucas is pretty twisted for thinking: Hey why don't we worsen his pain and set him on fire.

And to top it off in Episode VI Anakin loses his arm...again. I mean for God sakes how many times could you possibly lose the same flippin arm. What are the chances of it getting cut off like 3 times....for God's sakes.

Of course in the SW's universe losing a limb is so easily corrected that it is probably the earth equivalent of having the sniffles. You can just see Darth Vader calling the Emperor early in the morning.

"Yeah hi, it's Darth here ... Darth ... Vader, yeah, is there any chance you could do without me today? Yeah, the arm, it's come off again. No, got it caught in one of those 'swish swish' self closing doors. Yeah ... ok, I should be in tommorrow ... oh shit, make that Wednesday, the leg's fallen off."

Dismemberment is a special pasttime for our SW characters. What else could you expect?

Well, I'd hope to expect the same sense of (gasp) astonishment ("He cut Luke's Hand off!") as I experienced watching ESB the first time. Of course that's now gone too, hands down.
